Work to rule would be more effective and damaging to Royal Mail.

might be right

but in my office harder to enforce and more likely to fail as the guys rush round like nutters just to get home to watch jeremy kyle sad f***s

when u say WTR you should say work to 318 as royal mail will say we didnt vote to WTR and as i understand it the union will end up in court

in my part of the world

the guys who want to WTR are the very guys who have crossed the picket line or rush round like greyhounds breaking all the rules

my answer to them is if you wanna work to rule start doing it now prove to the rest of us you can do it

i get no response :nana

WTR impossible to enforce and the guys telling us to do that know that

biggazza, it can be done, but I agree in some/our office it would be difficult. ( BUT IT SEEMS YOU CAN DO IT) see below.

i agree it can be done but the point i was trying to make was that the guys saying WTR is more effective than IA are the very guys running round like bloody greyhounds

and if they want to work to rule/318 then they dont have to wait until the union tells them too they can do it now
they only say this as they dont want to lose any money on strike days

cant speak for everybody on here this is just how it is in my sorting office

Tell me, how can the union justify the staff losing approx £60 per strike day, and killing the business in the process ? Whats it for ? some extra littlepittance on top of what we get at the moment ? Where's the sense in it ? Surely it would be best to work to rule, rather than shoot ourselves in the foot, and killing the business ?

I look forward to your replies.........
as you are so well informed.( no doubt by your lying screw ) pray tell what large businesses have moved from rm soley cos of the strike? perhaps they too have to tighten the old purse strings. perhaps the idiots in charge of contracts are useless at the job. after all they agreed dsa for a mere pittance then have the feckin cheek to moan about money lost. it sure as hell ain't in my contract to watch and feckin win. £120 keep it you sound like a scab or worse a screw.
i don't see any other person on my round walking or in a van delivering the mail. killing the business my arse. and as for shooting ourselves in the foot. the only shooting that needs doing is firing a round in those useless twats at the top. our stopped pay is their bonus for next year. i hope it chokes them my concience is clear. i do the job i am paid for. no more no less. i am not a scab and will stike as long as my union tell me too. no i am not a sheep but a man with morals.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
