If all this evidence is gathered, and presented to Private Eye, especially if it is from an opg under persecution, then I am sure "In The Back" will take it on - it was where Paul Foot was working when he passed away and they continue his legacy of campaigning journalism.

I didn't always agree with Paul Foot but I'd a massive respect for his fairness & principled stance having spoken to him once about " workplace issues " and a certain member of staff going to the National Economic League to try and break a strike and discredit a Union .

Maybe ? it would be a better idea is to " marshal " all the evidence better against RM's culture and present it better rather than dare I say it , than the scatter gun attacks in the media against RM .

At the end of the day it's got to stand up legally , to be fair Private Eye doesn't have the resources of The Mirror Group or the Guardian & Observer .

That does sound like a good idea, but I'd still give PE first refusal....after all, this week I've seen 3 or 4 "Eye Told You So"s ( articles from newspapers that were culled from articles that originated in PE ) and while it may be financially under-resourced in relation to "Fleet Street", it is also lacking in political motivations.....in our struggle to be heard that alone is worth it's weight in gold.

Somebody wrote into the PE Letters Page saying since taking out a subscription he realized how full of propaganda , spin and tripe the " Fleet Street " papers were . Years ago they'd a series called " Drop the Dead Donkey " satirizing the News Industry , one of the writers ; Guy Hamilton said he couldn't write a series like that now as the news is that dumbed down beyond parody .

PE have done reports and exposures on New Labour IT projects , Deepcut Barracks etc and really gone to town on corruption and incompetence .

I do know there's been people on the right of the Tory party and Goldsmith that have wanted rid of Private Eye and The Guardian or Sindy - The Independent . Let's just say some libel court cases have been " coincidentally " " interesting " .

Seriously though, slagging any RM employee on a social networking site will fall under RM harassment procedure and will most likely be dealt with in the same way regardless of any back-drop of industrial dispute.
