Why doesn't she come in and be honest with everyone.
Her mandate is to change to USO then disappear into the sunset with a massive payoff like thomsons was to crush the union ( which they partly managed to do themselves) the collect his payoff and disappear
Royal Mail's proposals expect customers to pay more for an even worse service. And there is no guarantee that paying more via 1st class will ensure that they will receive their deliveries on time either because the company are becoming more parcels oriented. If you only had time to deliver over 100 parcels or over 100 1st class letters - which one do you think your COM will ask you to prioritise?
If RM are allowed to make any of these changes which they believe will save them £300 million a year then any profits need to be re-invested back into the company and not frittered away to shareholders and executive management bonuses.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
The article said four CEO’s in five years? I must have forgotten someone? Who was before Rico? Was there someone in between him and Simon?
Yeah there was an interim CEO between Back & Thickshit. A guy called Stuart but can’t remember his surname. From what I remember he was nailed on to get it permanently according to the media but at the last minute Thickshit appeared on the scene and got the gig. Maybe Stuart wasn’t so up for being Williams’ lacky & shafting the workforce as Thickshit was!!

I don’t remember Stuart at all. Wonder what happened to him.
’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’
Probably glad that he had a lucky escape by not getting the Royal Mail job
Yep! So that Martin must be a force of nature because he has managed to be interim CEO and then have a position created for him where he is above the CEO’s of RM and GLS.
