And then the union can move onto most PT employees second biggest gripe - days off. Here people on fixed duties are given 1 in 4 saturdays off, that’s 12 a year (plus 4 Saturdays off as annual leave). I’ve had 1 Saturday off in 3 years whereas the person working next to me has had 36. Instead 99% of the time I’m given Tuesday off. Raised it with management, raised it with the union, raised it with the area rep but it always comes back to ‘businesses requirements’ etc.
Not sure what stage your revision is at but this is being addressed as part of ours, all staff will be on 1 in 6. I assume this is nationwide.

Part-time staff will receive any payments up to full-time equivalent hours covering their entire holiday entitlement and then anything over full-time hours covering the 4 week entitlement ensuring parity with full-time members.
Ignore my previous comment as I think I may have misunderstood. If the above is true, its probably the best we could expect.

My new understanding is

(2a) p/t will get average holiday pay for the first 4 weeks of annual leave.
(2b) p/t will also get upto f/t hours for the rest of their holiday entitlement (providing they have done the relevant o/t)

Route 1, To clarify what has been posted by P13, this is clarification from the latest LTB.

Part-time Members

Average Holiday Pay for ad-hoc/non-contractual overtime will be paid for all of an individual’s contractual holiday entitlement up to the maximum accrual of 6 weeks.
Where part-time members work in excess of full-time hours, an additional average holiday payment of ad-hoc/non-contractual overtime will also be calculated and paid for the first 4 weeks of annual leave.

Does anybody know what happens to staff that have recently left Royal Mail, do you have to currently still work for RM to qualify for the 2 years backdated pay. Thank you for your help.

Just skimmed over the released LTB during break - Quote from letter attached to LTB 245/21:
In respect of back pay, the employee will need to be in employment on the date that the Agreement Letter is signed by both parties to qualify for any payment.

Ian Wilson providing you qualified as performing regular overtime than yes it would go back to that date.

Approximately 70 thousand postal workers perform overtime on a regular basis. This varies in the levels of overtime.

Remember the CWU encouraged individuals to take out claims and 5000 took up this opportunity.

This agreement will not just support those 5000 but all those 70 thousand who perform regular overtime in line with the criteria which is a minimum of 8 hours in a month for 6 months.
Thank you Martin
Just read the agreement. It appears that I have to withdraw my tribunal case to get the 2 years back dated to 04/19. When making the ACAS claim in 09/2019 the advice was the claim would go back 2 years to 08/2017 and any subsequent average holiday pay claims would be added to that one.

I won’t withdraw the tribunal case if backdated average holiday pay only goes to 04/19.

The 'more than two years issue doesn't apply to me' but got an update from ACAS today.

Initially I asked for a tribunal hearing after royal mail didn't want to enter concilliation. I asked CwU if I should join their group claim. They said I can't as already filed for early councilliation individually. So off I sent a tribunal request

Today I get two emails from ACAS. One saying I will get an early councilliation registration. No idea what that's about. They gave me one nearly two months back after royal mail didn't want to enter into concilliation. I haven't filed twice. The other saying the court that was going to deal with my claim isn't going to and I have to go through Bristol.

No other info on what I should expect to happen next...

The agreement still has to be voted on by the membership, I do not think the ballot is/was going to be completed before the 21st June 2021!

I have followed with interest the delays & developments. Personally the last time I did overtime regularly was for 2 years up to 2015 & gave up when the promise of full time hours never materialised.

I think it might be a branch vote as opposed to a membership vote

From LTB:
To conclude, the agreement will be put to a vote via a branch ballot and the timetable is currently being worked up and will be advised to Branches in due course.
What's the difference between a 'branch vote' and a 'membership vote' in this situation? Is it because the legalities
of NI claims (Scotland too?) are different? Will it therefore only be CWU branches in England and Wales voting?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Does this agreement not cover any Ad hoc allowances claimed. Over a period then not been payed it while on annual leave
