By the time this month is over most people will be asking "when do I get my back pay" rather than looking at what the strings are. Sad, but true
Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

Like the holiday pay deal that penalises people for going on holiday. And Terry's "8 hours pay isn't much" comment that proved he doesn't understand it!!

They will act like they’re bankrupt, then pay out another £400m to shareholders, then give us 2% because “that’s all they can afford”.
Serious question though, what other business gives half it’s operating profit to shareholders? Simon can lie all he likes, the public knows what it going on, as do OFCOM. Astronomical fines are coming their way.

It would have to be Astronomical fines too.A million here and there and they would happily take the hit.

Don`t forget we worked through the pandemic (front-line,essential workers)

Furlough monies up to 80% of wages,Where not on offer to us.

I`m sure Joe public will support the Postmen and women,As they do the national health . ;liar

Good luck for an inflation matching pay increase and the 2 hours owed, Off the working week.

We Will Need it. :arrrghhh

Do you really think these people really care about the foot soldiers? They are on 6 figure salaries and living the dream. Why do management get very good bonuses for apparently getting the Mail cleared? When it is the hard working foot soldiers who get the Mail cleared.
Without the postie there wouldn’t be a Royal Mail. We are not valued in anyway and the pay is an embarrassment. We are continually working at full capacity for the full shift. Hardly time for a toilet break and go home physically exhausted for near minimum wage. 37 years and can’t see me making it to many more. Just to add I’m one of the fitter guys and have run 4 marathons in recent years but this is physically and mentally draining. I’ve never seen so many employees young staff included with bad knees, bad backs, strains and hernias as I’m seeing now.

We are walking anywhere between 10 miles and 15 miles a day in hilly areas with lots of steps. What is an acceptable amount of walking you should be expected to do everyday?
I’m going to bet we get a 2% pay rise settled around November so the back pay will be the dangling carrot and we will all give our right arm for a few hundred quid.

Can't see that having much effect, just about all post offices locally are in convenience stores, AFAIK staff by each stores own staff

CWU are saying there will be no collections from the sub-post offices though, not quite sure how that's enforced though when it involves Royal Mail staff.
