Not quite sure what went wrong today but did not get back till 14.15pm. Had 1 3/4 packet bags which is almost a xmas load  . The few of us using trolleys and bikes suffered quite badly as we had to break the bags down.

Car users were heading home at 12 :arrrghhh
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Slightly better today but still loads of packets. Had 5 reg and 9 recorded's which all took time.
Ditched the trolley for one part of my walk and took a bike as it is sloped and was killing my upper back. Seem to work out better so prob do that for now. Finished 13.45.

Finished half an hour earlier today, and tbh I do feel the difference. Loads of flats today, letters about normal. Didn't get any bulk mailings through so had a few gaps. Weather turned cold today after having a good spell.

Just a complete and utter wankfest from start to finish. Got in to five mech bundles un-prepped (yes, F-I-V-E). They were those horrible mech bundles that are bigger than normal ones. Then I had missorts that equated to probably another two. That's probably a normal day's worth of prep. It didn't look like that much once I'd got it into the fitting. Needless to say I didn't take it all out. Had it all been prepped, I'd have probably been able to take it all. Oh well :-).

Mail's down!

Bombed by mail.three and a half trays of coded.
two of those trays council tax.one and a half sacks of packets
another two trays of letters from the ips and three of flats.
ips lasted 6.15 till 7.45
short of bodies on the ips because of sickness and the manager
letting people prep their overtime!
small bonus was only a few specials.
I'm a postman-and i know where you live.....

Back an hour earlier than yesterday. Strange really, considering it was Friday, usually get hammered. :hmmmm Still a long day with the changes in place, but at least I got home a bit earlier.

Different ... got sent to "help out" at neighbouring office and ended up "going out blind" on a walk with 900+ delivery points (my usual is 610) - went over - of course ...
"We're under model" - oh no we're not - stick your lapse elsewhere ...

Very quiet, got home for 11am and that includes 12 mile commute. Next week apparently council tax coming in so busy?

Ours came in this week. We've been given three days to do them. I've hardly done any of mine because they won't prep them. I'm off next week so day three out of three is somebody else's problem. Good luck to them - I'm past the point of caring. For some reason, every house is getting two letters from our local council, so that's 2 x 600 on the walk I've been on. One of the letters is a pretty hefty thing, and they're all DSA.

Out a bit earlier and back a bit earlier. Still, it's a drag finishing at 3 o'clock on a Satruday. about 5 and ahalf hours round trip including delivery. Not all the office is working the new hours yet, so it wont be for a few weeks until we see the real impact. At least the sun is shining.
