Good day mail wise, got finished bang on time.

However, i was taken into the office before leaving for delivery, apparently my gaffer was a tad upset that i hadn't delivered 5 D2Ds on my walk last week, as in i'd completely missed 5 houses on a street with D2D. He began giving me some spiel about this being an "instant dismissal" and "As-good-as-fraud" and how some guy they had before who was full-time and had 16 years service was fired for missing only 9 but that he'd "let it slide THIS TIME". What the hell?! I have 709 calls on my f***ing duty, and i miss five and he gives me this s**t?! Is he allowed to do this? Is this a reasonable reaction? Surely it can't be. I was shafted nearly everyday last week, and i'm only human, i make mistakes but apparently ANY sort of mistake in this god-forsaken company, no matter how minor, is good enough reason for you to get you the sack.

Dunno ,but i've seen some RM heroes ( in 2 hrs early and unpaid)Slipping undelivered D2D,s under other posties frames I'm sure its just a private joke

Too many gaps. Lost my count towards the end of one bag which resulted in a double misdelivery, including a small packet. No doubt one of them will complain - not my frigging fault I'm not perfectly perfect in every way. Sod's law that no-one was home in either house. Nowt I can do about it now except sleep .

I've (knowingly) misdelivered about 15 times in the last year. Only once, have they been in.

Nearly always the same section for me. Halfway round, beginning to think of possible time made or lost, and doh!

It might be worth asking your rep if what your DOM did can be constituted as harrassment, but even if it isn't / can't be proven, it might be worth gathering data on any management slips ( ie walking around the dock or the yard with hi-vis, booking 8 hrs for a day off but only being present for 4 or 5hrs, leaving the office with a manager / first aider in attendance, etc, etc ).....any H&S issue you raise is your DUTY to raise, and anything like a screw knocking off early, or booking OT without working all of it really is "as good as fraud" - think about what your managers get up to on a regular basis & write it down in a diary, with dates, times, places, & witnesses & use it to fight fire with fire.....don't get mad, get even - and if you DOM pulls that s**t again after you build up a dossier against him, get your rep as a witness to what your DOM says, then reel off some of your info, and ask what he plans to do ( and if he says "Nothing, it's not relevant to your case" ) ask who you should pass your info to....the ADR or the DSM?

Apparently i was being "closely monitored" due to inconsistencies in my D2D control sheet, inconsistencies my arse! I get leaflets, i do leaflets, i count leaflets, i sign off leaflets - DONE! But apparently, the number was fluctuating too much for my DOMs liking and when i got drew in this morning, these five missed calls was the best he could come up with

I'm fed up folks, i really am. All this petty crap is really getting to me.

Well, it is chickenshit what he did ( I'd like to see him be perfect with 709 calls, 5 d2ds, census and everything else you had last week - and most managers are either graduates & never done a day's graft in their lives, or failed postmen, nuff said ), but as I said, don't get mad, get even....play him at his own game, and note down when he & his lineos are not perfect ( it's tricky trying to conduct soemone about their d2ds, when they are asking if you'll discipline yourself for not wearing a hi-vis, or leaving early & leaving your DO without a first aider / manager on site )

Ask him which doors you missed! Again, the onus is on the maangers to count out these leaflets, alongside the postie, and onlty then can they accuse.As a one of, Unions should arrange a seperate audit of these boxes, ---

Not a bad day, for once. Not at my DO, makes ALL the difference - no hassle !
Bit o'prepping, threw out 4 lots d2ds on one frame (errr, weren't enough to complete the frame though, will I get a warning ??!! Guess not, I'm not delivering'em), 5 on a column of another, bit o'delivery. Other than the terrible traffic coming home, not a bad day at all. Will be out on delivery tomorrow at same DO, no probs ...

It's been a strange old week so far. The packet volume has been low. The mail volume today was pretty high but Monday and Tuesday there was sod all. Worrying times ahead - either tomorrow or Friday will be a bad 'un (praying it's tomorrow when I'm off).

A long hard day... again. Packets were not as bad as usual but the mail was heavy and the walk is totally outrageous now the HCTs are in use.

We've been told today that we cant order any more any more elastic bands or pens. a new low point for RM when they cant afford a box of cheap biros.
