Jim, I've read your post in the other forum and agree with all that you say. The kind of manegerial pressure you were put under is indemic throughout RM. Keep you chin up mate. I'll speak to your dad next week.

National Appeal Decisions - Burslem
The purpose of this LTB is to advise Branches that the Union has been informed of the results of the National Appeals Panel (NAP) cases arising out of the Burslem dispute.
Whilst 1 individual has been reinstated, regrettably 2 others have had their dismissals confirmed. The decisions were by a 2 to 1 majority and the Union's nominee on the panel has registered his dissent. This includes producing a document which runs to over 30 pages setting out the reasoning and rationale for the dissent.
Everybody had hoped that the independence and objective investigations that the NAP normally carries out would secure justice. This has not proved to be the case.
Prior to the decision being made the Union had written both directly to the NAP and to Senior Royal Mail managers expressing our concerns and misgivings around some of the processes the NAP appeared to be adopting on these particular cases. At one point this involved the Union's Representatives putting forward evidence which was seen as crucial to natural justice prevailing. Unfortunately, the Panel Chair refused to entertain this evidence.
The Union do not accept the decision of the NAP and it is important that Branches understand our concerns were raised and documented weeks before the final decision had been arrived at. Whilst we recognise that not every case is winnable, it is a fact that every representative who has dealt with these cases at all levels of the Union continues to report an overwhelming sense of injustice and frustration at how our members have been dealt with.
The Postal Executive was today given a full report on the findings of the NAP and the reasons for the Union's nominee registering his dissent. As a result the Postal Executive unanimously carried a document setting out the various ways the Union will continue to offer our full support to all our members at Burslem. Initially, this will be channelled via direct meetings with Royal Mail and proving the best possible representation at an Employment Tribunal. Consideration will also be given to other industrial initiatives following meetings which have been arranged this week directly with the affected members.
The overall situation at Burslem is that of the 12 members originally suspended over a year ago, 6 were returned to duty without charges, 1 has been reinstated following the NAP, 2 members have now had dismissals confirmed and 3 members are still awaiting appeals because this was linked to the conclusion of the NAP cases.
A full report will be provided at the National Briefing on the 15th January explaining all the initiatives the Union are undertaking.
We will advise you of further developments in due course.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

:lfo :cfo - that report speaks for itself -but it's bolting the stable door after the horse has gonea glorified Russian Show Trial or Kangaroo court - however the union will have to sharpen it's act up if RM can make dodgy fit - up's look straight at that level ?
time they woke up ? - they were out of their depth at times with the dispute
