Easy day, really. D2ds weren't done last week though. I think that would almost have to go down as a positive when I compare and contrast that mild discomfort to the bone-tingling horror stories that people have been telling me about the service they received on the walk whilst I was out in the sticks.
Mail for one street dumped in one letterbox. Mail for one residential home thrown on the table and left for the (frail and elderly) residents to distribute themselves. The clincher? It was still bundled up. I've never known so many people be glad to see me in one day. And another thing, write-offs. Someone had bundled two weeks' worth of write-offs together which I had to do. I would have said no but it was such a light day I couldn't really. I swear some of these write-offs weren't even genuine. I spotted one redirection and for all I know there may have been more. I'll probably get the bollocking for it if that turns out to be the case - of course it'll have nothing to do with having runarounds and cutters on the walk ...

I have to agree with baldrick...............today was such a shock to the system that I wandered around thinking I'd left 3/4 trays sitting in the office. Power cut at Gateshead MC meant a lot of sitting about twiddling thumbs, out at 9am, all cleared, including lapsing by 10.50, in the house by 11.10.

Fecked up here in Dunfermline, top man was in today and all mail had to be thrown in frames bursting at seams, left mail in frame and 2 packet bags and still went over time, gonna start finishing on me time from now on and taking it easy
