My round is a rural which is 42 miles long per day. I don't wear my seat belt for any of it. I just took this as being part of the job. If I had to fasten my seat belt and not look at mail on the passenger seat for the entire round it would probably take me twice as long to deliver.

Joke of a company
You don't wear a seat belt have you got a death wish?
If ever spotted by the police he'd get fined for not wearing a seatbelt and if he's got mail on the front seat, IB would probably rip him a new one
Hopefully it will happen soon on both counts. An he calls the company a joke.

A few weeks I believe he started a thread saying he’d left. Driving without a seat belt is a huge no regardless of if it’s in or out of work.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

It is a matter of education.
Has it been properly explained that it is mandatory to wear a seatbelt at all times?
Do his colleagues all wear a seatbelt all the time or is there a rather lax view of the word "mandatory" in his office?

It is a simple fact that a lot of people don't wear a seatbelt. They think they are rebels. They think they are cool or hard or whatever.
They plug the seatbelt into the passenger side to avoid the constant beeping. Everyone knows it goes on.
Every now and again there is a big hoo-ha about it when someone gets caught and then it dies away again. (until the next time)
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
