If you have any problems, and before posting in these (or any other) forums it is better to consider speaking to the people immediately involved with a given issue which you are facing: you will most likely find that the majority of people, postmen, drivers and then managers in your delivery office are friendly and will be able to help you with any questions or concerns you might have. I have found that at regular intervals throughout the day, people from the team are asking me how I am doing (I am a new postie also), all of the managers take care a lot of over how I am doing and generally, if I am a new to a procedure, there is always someone there to give me a guiding hand.disgruntledpostie1 wrote:It's up to the management to get your bags out to you whenever you need them not for you to work extra to accommodate themmajeed wrote:Presumably, you are quicker now and therefore need less time in which to sort, therefore, you should be bagged-up for the time with which the driver is familiar: if this is not so, then you are in fact not up to speed on throwing out your frame. It would be better for you if you got up to speed and after that, considered changing your hours, accordingly.longwalkhome wrote:i have started a new walk a new office and have been starting early. now i am used to the frame i want to start at the new start time 0715. this will make all my bags late for drop off. i dont want to rock the boat to much in case i get thrown overboard, any advice!!!
I also have a long walk home.
I have found that the best thing to do - if you have an issue - is to speak to the person concerned: this is just a point about general communication: just have a word with the driver and explain you are having such-and-such a problem and can he/she advise you about it. If they say that they cannot or the issue is not resolved in this way, ask them if they know who would be best to ask, and proceed in this way. You should get along fine. While the forum is here to help, posting messages here would normally be better used as a last resort: all the support you need as a new postman is available elsewhere, as I've detailed.
Hope that helps.
