20 years on delivery, 1st year walking 2nd to 18th Rural driver 18th to 20th town walk

27 years last April. Walking, driving, about 8 years in R.L.E. now driving again. Long way to go yet though.

20 years January gone, thats half my working life so now counting backwards.....only 19 years and 200 odd days to go

Done collections, walking, driving, splits, lates, earlies....now walking & driving 10 hour shift 4 day week

done 21 years last feb started as a P/T 20 hr walking postman ,then got offered a FT post i thinks it was a 42 hr wk back then currently im a rural van delivery driver and collections some afternoons and the occasional sunday collection until recently been the local workplace rep for over 10 years but had to give it up too much stress and back biting from my comrades but getting fired up with the current situation so i might be back to give our managers a kicking where it hurts

28 years+Deliveries & Collections,inward night sorting & driving duties(good old station service meeting the tpo's),parcels(when it was all under one roof)HGV driving,deliveries in a small sub office........I've seen a few change's,thinking about going back to collections & network

23rd year for me.
great job when i started, no mail, plenty overtime, respected by all public for the job you were in.
Ha! look at it now treated like s**t, public think your dumbasses, too much mail and no o/t!!

4 1/2 years in, only joined on casual contract for 12 weeks (what have I done). As I was once told 'Smile it could always be worse, so I smiled and it did get worse' I'm never going to get to retire

It'll be 26 years for me soon. It was great when we started, no pressure etc and the work still got out in time. Now the managers are all over you like a rash and it fails - sad, sad, sad

10 for me and flown by finnished with nights about 8 weeks ago never do them again. got a dog now need too get home but love meeting people out and about

In my third year at Plymouth MDEC which I guess makes me a bit of a newbie but I am in it for the long haul. Maybe I will get parole in a year or two if MDEC hasn't been sold off already or outsourced to India!

YES, NINE YEARS LAST MARCH, USED TO WORK FOR BANKS - CHASE MANHATTAN, HSBC, BARCLAYS INTENATIONAL. CHASE WAS MY FINAL APPOINTMENT AND LEFT THEM TO 'DE-STRESS' MY LIFE. OH WHAT A BLOODY STUPID FOOL I WAS!!!! MIND YOU AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED UP UNTIL 3 YEARS AGO BEING A POSTMAN WAS THE GREATEST JOB IN THE WORLD - THEN CAME :lfo

One whole year on Tuesday ( 26/06 ) - months in Maidstone MC & rest of my time in Sevenoaks. First six months F/T temp contracts & currently stuck on P/T perm contract.....but probably for the best for the time being.
