I was informed by my manager that with regards to flexible working, if deliveries or distribution are short staffed I may be asked to cover a job within that department. We seem to be moving back 20 years, I remember when the way forward became "SPLIT FUNCTIONS" an ingenius idea which would give postmen/women ownership of their job both improving the Quality of Serivce and continuity of their working environment or purely easier to privatise and sell as individual business's. Yes we did not have the competition we have today, and yes we were making 500m a year. We are all TIRED of Mssrs Crozier and Leighton piping on about competition and being overpaid, but learn from the past to reflect in the future. Leighton and Crozier are gunning for their own personal agenda in either destroying the business or by sharing the overall mail market with our competitors to a larger scale.

I totally agree we need some form of change to improve and maintain jobs, but complete : Quote "Victorian style Bullying" is not the way forward. Negotiate and work together to emphasise how great your workforce truly is, Crozzier and Leighton. Lets work "TOGETHER" to put the compettion out of business not ourselves!!
