I'm 'spare' again, but the walk I was on for the past year had 650 drops and took about 3 hours 40 mins on a heavy day, and about 3 hours on a light day.

just under 200 calls about 3 to 4 hours but then i get slaughtered with parcels and specials more indoor work now so less outdoor time been told its going to get worse can't see how as going over regularly now i will not succumb to the temptation of starting early to make life easier for me as management will only try to put more work on me

I have over ten thousand drops, takes me 23 hours a day. And I don't even have shoes, and I have wasps in my eyes.

Why are ye agreeing to do a 4/5 hour delivery? 3.5 hours is still the max delivery time with bag on shoulder?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

500 residential, 125 business drops.

Averages ~6 specials items a day, often max of 8 on Thurs & Fri.

Roughly 10 recorded items per day.

Something like 30-40 parcels a day that need a knock at the door to deliver (or post a "form left" after waiting 1 minute).

Great fun playing "spot the staff mamber" in the shops, espcially the numerous charity ones and pubs, when nobody is behind the counter/till. Even more fun discovering the bank has one or two members of staff serving the public, which are obviously the bank's priority.

Taking all of my meal real relief, which is normally 30 minutes, out on the walk (sometimes first break is governed by specials deadline, so is after 1300).

I don't use my car to help speed up the round (so that's why i didn't call myself "Ilovemymrblobbycar").

All the above factors (and no doubt others) result in an average walk time of 4.5 hours, often more like 5 on Thursdays and Fridays...
