What meeting? Should you believe everything you hear?
Did RM not spin the same bullshit every year yet despite assurances that everything was legal and above board the BNP have been forced to change their constitution because it was illegal and discriminatory.
Some of us won't be leaflet boys for racist thugs. EVER.

personally i have no problem delivering the bnp leaflets, if you are going to object to them for being extremists then you should also have objections to the socialist hate mongers. Or is left wing bigotry OK!

If you are refusing to deliver a certain parties election leaflets then you are giving the other parties an unfair advantage. Who are we to decide what our customers receive?
No one is saying the leaflets will not be delivered, they just won't be delivered by me.
Are you saying the leaflets will be obligatory but still carry a separate payment? Will we be given time to prep and deliver them as well?
Surely not delivering any would still be an option.

Election Crap. Moral Opt out?

Post by pickaname »

Been told we cant opt out of this stuff based on moral grounds. DOM has put up a section of the agreement on the notice board and it seems to suggest you cant say no to delivery the evil party's leaflets...

I find delivering Labour Party propaganda morally offensive.

where have you got your information from. you have just made it up. look at the racist filth on the bnp website!!
the national agreement has not changed re election material, so it is still relevant.
you are voiceing your own opinion, not fact.

Not delivering BNP leaflets is discriminating against fascists

Seriously though, weve been told we cant cut off or claim as the leaflets carry a seperate payment which leads me directly to my next point.

Is this compulsory overtime if we cant refuse them?

Has this been tested ? if BNP have paid for this leaflet and RM don't deliver it, would we be breaking the Law ?

The BNP or any other political party wont be paying for the delivery of their canidate election leaflet, The Ministry of Justice will be.

Any other postings over and above this done by a political party are payed by the party and not the MoJ.

I spoke to the manager who is co-ordinating the election mailshots at our office. He said it would be the same arrangements as the European Election. If your round is in a marginal seat, you will get loads of the stuff.
I won't be delivering my BNP leaflets.

In the Euro election, the BNP leaflet came out the same week we had our Northants Police 'Home Beat' D2D newspapers; so we all put the election crap inside the 'Home Beat'. The OB weren't too impressed at having BNP leaflets inside their paper. Surely they weren't worried that people would make a connection between the two?!! :Very Happy Anyway, the story made the local rag!
