sadly I think most will only see the amount of money being offered and not bother to read the rest

If they offered 2k there would be a stampede to vote yes in my office - no matter what the conditions attached to it

not voted yes by me I would add - but there are now so many p/t that don't intend being in the job in three years that they don't really care about the future

What's it got to with union members? Any offer of £2000 would be gratefully grabbed by most RM staff, union members or not, but then there isn't actually going to be an offer of £2000 so it's all rather academic.

Of course, RM fully appreciate that most staff would likely accept an offer of maybe £400 to sell their souls regardless of any add-ons or long-term debits.... :whistle

one day part timers will have the same right as full timers

:crazy: Yes, we were told this story about the time of S.D.D,even then there was talk of monthly pay, firstly we wereto get a'free ' 2000 quid if we accepted, then we were to pay it back. Trust nothing this company say, and please, if you are asked for a 'show of hands' on these matters, say no. and insist it goes to a proper private national ballot.

2 grand paid back at 160 pcm would mean the suggested pay of £40 in this thread rise didnt really exist for a year.

RM wont lose anything coz monthly pay genrates more interest.

Personally i think someone is getting everyone at it.

There is no deal untill RM can come up with a decent offer for Reward and Remuneration.

Remember nothing is agreed untill everything is agreed.

I heard shed loads of rumours from £400, £600, £1000 lump sum to £50 per week.

But of course no one knows for sure :d'oh!

Lets be honest. The deal will be crap.

Everyone on here will say they voted no but it will still go through and we'll be back here again in 2 years or so after a calamatous debacle.

RM wont admit it made a huge error, but will instead find excuses such as falling mail volumes, pension deficit and yadda yadda yadda.

Its a circus folks...

The industrial action was reported via spreadsheets and they were uploaded on to the system, so no manual keying was necessary. D2D and overtime are done in much the same way. Any mistakes are at source (ie the bookrooms). There were a few people dealing with queries, mainly resulting from managers reporting people as being on IA when they weren't.

The people in payroll are CWU members who work in HR Services. Many of them are on less pay than OPG's and like them have also seen jobs disappear in the name of savings over the last few years.

Are you actually on crack? You can NOT blame the people in HR for lost wages due to the strike. They are doing their jobs. If they'd refused to come in to work, refused to do the wages during the strike, they would all be out of a job.

We should be standing together here, not sniping at other departments who have absolutely nothing to do with our current situation other than that they may lose their jobs if we go to monthly pay.

It's got nowt to do with them processing payroll during the strike!

It was, but not a very sensible one.
HR and Payroll are Admin and Clerical grades, and aren't usually "called out" when postal grades are, and vice versa.
Hardly relevant to vilify them for "not losing pay" when they were never asked to.
