I'm happy to be lazy and I'll enjoy a few days off at Christmas rather than lying in bed half dead with sore feet, back ache and general exhaustion!dvbuk55 wrote:
Lazy pair - come christmas I'll be doing 70+hours a week - or is it a month - yeah that's it a month - I get SAD in Winter, I don't really know what it means but I don't do much work and I need a lot of sleep - come to think of it I get the same symptoms in summer as well - maybe I'm just old and don't really give a flying fock.

I'm part-time and as far as I'm aware I would have to work 40 hours before I qualify for overtime. 40 hours and under would be basic for everyone as far as I was told.

Yep that's the way it is here in this area!!!! Mind you i can see a lot of people crying when the O/T dries up. Me just do basic plus rest day S/A and D2D. I get tired enough as it is on my walk!!!!shadow wrote:I'm part-time and as far as I'm aware I would have to work 40 hours before I qualify for overtime. 40 hours and under would be basic for everyone as far as I was told.

I just do basic hours, plus d2ds, and thats it.We were willing to do OT when it was need ed, but we were stopped, so from now on, thats it. Still have the overtime bandits who suck up to the DOM and get all thats going.
We start at 0730,but the first truck arrives at 0530.She pays someone 1 hr a day to come in and unload the truck! So they work from 0630-0730 for nothing!
This is done on a rota, but i told them no way, not doing it!
just had the DOM ring me, cos im on a day off."do I want to come in today?"....Hahahahahaha!! As if!

cow post wrote:Thats what i thought too...but its the full time staff that get the better rate after 40+ and for the part time staff, the first 10 hours get a better rate but falls after they (or i) work more than that. Everybody works for the same company so why should rates of pay be different for certain contracts...its crazy, but this is royal mail were talking about here
All OPGs get the same rate for docket after 40 hours and it drops for all after 50.
