Walk Sequencing machines

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

I have always said that this flexibility they keep pushing down our throats is the most inflexible system I have ever seen.

Before flexibility:

1. People made time on quiet days and if they went over by 10 - 20 minutes they wrote it off.
2. Even on busy days and when there was OT available you could come to a deal with the managers.
3. If packets got behind people cam in on OT to do them.
4. Less packets were doorstepped.
5. Less pressure from management meant less F/L without taking packets.
6. It seemed as there were less reports in the press about thefts and failure to delivers.

Now we have flexibility:

1. People walk slower on deliveries because if they finish early they will have to go back. No incentive to get the work done quickly.
2. Now you only get paid the hours you do less people are willing to do OT.
3. Packets roll over day on day now.
4. Doorstepping is now accepted for light bulbs when it shouldn't, and sometimes happens for normal packets.
5. More complaints about posties not knocking when they have a packet.
6. Less posties are willing to go that extra mile because they feel so stressed and bullied by bad management practices.

Yep in my opinion this system is proving as flexible and workable as a durasteel bar weight 50,000 tonnes orbiting a star about to go Nova.
