Gotta be something in this where they can’t deny you your statutory leave entitlement. This includes if you’re off sick. No mention of loopholes for workers taking part in IA we will have to dig deeper and throw the book at them if this is illegal.

we were out for 18 days solid in 1996. not 1 day was deducted from annual leave. we've been out a few times since then (can't remember how many) out with crozier, leighton, and Moya Greene in charge. we never lost 1 day in ANY of those strikes. so there's a definite ''rabbit'' off here like.

These lot are a different breed. Absolute contempt for their work force and enjoy showing what they really think of us by their actions. Vote yes, hopefully a great result and the CEO and his buddy being recalled to Parliament will swing things in our favour. You can but hope.daveyeff wrote: ↑26 Jan 2023, 19:45we were out for 18 days solid in 1996. not 1 day was deducted from annual leave. we've been out a few times since then (can't remember how many) out with crozier, leighton, and Moya Greene in charge. we never lost 1 day in ANY of those strikes. so there's a definite ''rabbit'' off here like.

Re: Annual leave deductions for strike days
Totally agree, The real reason nothing was taken off before was more likely as everything was done on paper back then it was too much like hard work whereas now it is easy as all computerised. One click of a button and hours clawed back. Used to do the annual leave sheets when I was book room PHG from 1991-93 so know first hand how it worked back then. Used a typewriter to update holiday lists !daveyeff wrote: ↑26 Jan 2023, 19:45we were out for 18 days solid in 1996. not 1 day was deducted from annual leave. we've been out a few times since then (can't remember how many) out with crozier, leighton, and Moya Greene in charge. we never lost 1 day in ANY of those strikes. so there's a definite ''rabbit'' off here like.

Re: Annual leave deductions for strike days
Too work it out multiply 37 x 52 =1924 subtract your strike hours ie 14 days =103.6 hrs from 1924 = 1820.4 divide by 1924 = 0.946 x222 ( yearly total) = 210.046 which equates to revised entitlement of 210 hrs 3 mins subtract from 222 and loss equates to 11 hrs 57 mins.
All a very petty from RM but not surprising at all.

The calculation would depend on the length of the shifts missed on each of the strike days.sam63 wrote: ↑26 Jan 2023, 20:41Too work it out multiply 37 x 52 =1924 subtract your strike hours ie 14 days =103.6 hrs from 1924 = 1820.4 divide by 1924 = 0.946 x222 ( yearly total) = 210.046 which equates to revised entitlement of 210 hrs 3 mins subtract from 222 and loss equates to 11 hrs 57 mins.

I wouldn't trust RM to do anything correctly at the moment. If we aren't provided with individual calclations of the deduction from our leave allowance then all 115,000 of us should use one of Thompson's stamps and write to HR demanding a complete breakdown of the calculation

Above based on 14 x 7hr 24. If long and shorts add up total but turn minutes into decimal, 103hrs 36mins was total for 103.6 hrs

It's not just their moral compass that's the question here though.....it's also the legality of it.
