A work to rule would force some people to cross picket lines they are already struggling with 2 days pay loss so doubt much chance of that.

A least a ban on full timers working their day off, 5 days is enough, it’s just greed :arrrghhh
and working wallington weeks, controlling early morning prep, working holidays :arrrghhh
Our union rep has been working his holidays this week. We're not allowed the full allocation of people on leave just now as it's considered peak time so we only have a few off. He cried like a baby to get this week off in last year's pick and is now working them. He'd have been getting paid this week anyway so why hoover up the 3 days at the start of the week? Leave it for someone who wants to work their day off. Or even better take your effing holidays that you threw your toys out of the pram to get.
THATS A DISGRACE !!!!!
I'm pure raging about it. People want November holidays because it's busy and the weather is grim. We usually have 10 people off on annual leave at a time but it's reduced to 5 in November and it's usually oversubscribed with people wanting that weeks. So to throw it back in our faces is sickening. Find it difficult standing on a picket line with folk like that to be honest.

Strongly remind us not to drive vans with defects. I estimate half the vans in the yard have loose wing mirrors, doors that don’t open, fumes coming out of the back. Log them off.

PDA problems - if your PDA crashes and won’t start, stop helping by taking photos of things on our phones. Insist managers leave the comfort of their office (or the golf course) and bring out a new PDA to you or fill in one of those old cards (and wouldn’t it be a shame if the rain smudged all the numbers).

Tie up exactly to the frame, no matter how ridiculous and out of logical order it is.

I have my own tactics - I start on time, finish on time, take breaks, don’t work any OT or days off. Oh, and there’s a fairly high up Royal Mail director who lives on one of the town rounds I cover. Obviously with parcels now taking priority I’m sure he doesn’t mind me not having enough time to deliver to his house, usually once a week at best I’ll deliver his mail. Sorry sir, but we are a parcels business now who occasionally delivers mail.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Ha that’s funny. You’re right about the vans too. Soooo many vans are a mess.

We shouldn’t be asking, “will I get in trouble for using this van”?

We SHOULD be asking, “can I get conducted for logging this van off”?

Imagine the difference that would make.. and no loss of pay either..

Part of my "Quiet Quitting" campaign is I now never scan anything that I don't have to. I used to scan EVERYTHING with a barcode, under the false impresssion that it might make them aware of how many packets my duty gets, :Boo hoo!

I don't believe they even use the data so Fcuk Em! Now it's Tracked, Signed Fors & Specials Only. Expecting to get a lecture soon for the need to scan EVERYTHING again because we're now a Parcel Delivery Service aand need to keep track of EVERYTHING. :arrrghhh

I refer my learned colleague to my previous statement! :cuppa
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)
