It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

84. Look at who to deny OT so they don't qualify for the next holiday OT payment that covers 'peak'.

Great so let me get this straight

The frontline delivery workers get told we werent doing enough, get a revision forced upon us piling more onto an already unachievable workload, more pressure, just as our busiest time of the year approaches

And the managers are getting told that our CEO wants them to do LESS as they had too much work to do before

Cheers Simon

Great to be part of the 'team'
a postie in my old D/O told me that some areas haven't had deliveries for up to 3 days due to staff shortages, when i worked in Royal Mail circa 1990/2017 managers kept prattling on about the importance of the USO .... is the USO gone now that some deliveries are going undelivered 3 days and sometimes longer due to staff shortages ?? i know if it's happening in my old D/O it must be happening in others and i heard a D/O south of my town got no deliveries that day about a few months back that's a small town of over 6,000 and a massive rural area it covers and several villages got zero deliveries for a day .... seems to me the USO is used by Royal Mail when it suits there agenda and use it as a excuse/tool to hit reps over the head while negotiating with management.

yet they want to reduce the workload of managers ... Royal Mail is top heavy with management compared to when i started the job in 1990, yet the number of postmen during the same time continue to fall
