To be fair my usual delivery takes me 3 and a half to four hours, I was covering a town centre job yesterday which is an absouloute piece of piss, I have no idea why it's still a full time duty as it rarely takes over two hours.
I'm working to my time!

I was having quite a good day, few moaning customers, only cause they had no ID(I wish they would read the 739!). Started getting really busy about 11.30 as posties started coming back and customers coming in, get a phone call off a manager, can I look for an item for him 'NOW'. 'No' was my reply, 'got a queue of customers', His reply 'WELL THEY WILL HAVE TO WAIT!' Did I search for his item, NO!!. I wish I told him to get off his arse and walk 5 mins (0r 10 mins in his case) to the callers office and look for his fecking self!!! :evil/mad

Had a good day, went down to MC done my bit, public very supportive. Handed out plenty of leaflets, collected some signatures on the petition. Got accused of Picketing the 'Crown Post Office', we were just up the road. Manager & Deputy came out, worked out ok in the end. :wink:

No need for that, I wasn't 'carving it up', I don't have any rush to get home. If I did the round walking backwards I doubt it would take 3 hours.

Deja Vu for me there - they get the same answer from me or I say I'll do it when I get a minute will Friday fortnight do.

Customers and ID - it does not say it on mine - OK you must have a special one that was printed alll by itself. :d'oh!

For me Today and Yesterday were OK. Got finished 15 mins earlier than contracted and no rushing, and no car use. Things is I have heard from managers that the strikes are having little effect. OK so we were going to have a quiet Thursday and Friday anyway were we. :crazy:

Also asked our stand in manger if they were coming in tomorrow to quote them "I'm not a bleeding scab" :Applause :Applause :Applause

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Oh nearly forgot we broke a stand in managers this week. He was from another DO in our area and was being puppy walked round our section early in the week. 1 day on his own and he went sick. Image

GOT IN THIS MORNING EXPECTING IT TO BE LIGHT BEING THAT THE MAIL CENTRE HAD BEEN ON STRIKE THURSDAY IN FACT THERE WAS MORE THAN NORMAL. GOT IT IN THE EAR FROM THE NORMAL CROWED. DIM TOLD ME THERE WAS LOADS OF MAIL TO PICK UP ON THE MISSORT RUN TOLD HIM WE WOULD ONLY TOUCH THE INTRA MAIL AND NOTHING ELSE ME THINKS HE s**t HIMSELF CAUSE WHEN I GOT THERE EVERY OTHER OFFICE HAD LOADS AND WE ONLY HAD THE NORMAL INTRA s**t. GOT BACK TO THE OFFICE ADVISED THE LADS TO WEIGH THERE BAGS AND PUT THEM DOWN FOR THERE DRIVERS NOT TO USE THERE CARS NOT TO RUN AROUND AND NOT TO COME BACK TO THE OFFICE EARLY. BUT AS WE ALL KNOW IN ONE EAR AND OUT THE OTHER WHAT IS THE POINT WENT OUT ON MY DELIVERY WHICH WAS HEAVEY AS HELL CAME BACK GOT ALL THE s**t READY FOR THE PICKET LINE SATURDAY. WHAT A s**t DAY

GOOD LUCK TO EVERY ONE ON STRIKE SATURDAY UNITY IS STRENGTH
