Had 9 recordeds and 4 specials just to ruin my Saturday. Sometimes get a few on this round, but not normally that many on a Saturday. Got rid of most of them in fairness, they just irritate the hell out of me. Also had a strange package with a bar code on that didn't say signed for or anything? Had no idea what to do with it.

Bad day, two lots of a-poor size d2ds this week, plus loads of DSA rubbish. Mail was light in terms of weight but visiting most houses with stuff that I'm sure will make a quick journey to ze bin. Oh wells.

Lapsed, bundled and bagged up walk, bundled and bagged up another half a walk. No keys for 1 walk, got that sorted eventually, got a lift and dropped bags off, 1st letter after 11. Long walk not too heavy, rattled off half walk afterwards, finished 4:30.

Had a problem with the van as i got out on the walk ok but it would not re-start
The little spanner symbol just kept flashing. Flipped the bonnet but could not see anything a miss :hmmmm so phoned in and told the manager i was stranded and would have to bag up sections and walk it, which would take ages so i could not do any absorbtion and would require a lift back.

Anyway She (dom) sent out one of the early finishers to help me instead of his absorbtion. The little tear arse was out to me by 11am  So i loaded him up with mail and sent him off down the road :Very Happy . I finished my bag about 45 mins later and returned to the van and tried to start it and it STARTED :nana .

I drove around to find the flyer and he was already finished and walking back to his van

Returned to the office in convoy with the management light on and waiting for it to conk out :pray but it made it back ok :whistle So its booked in for a diaog check in the morning and i get a tranny :hmmmm

However with the extra help i got done by 12.20pm :nana So not all bad :Very Happy

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
