A few yorksters at our place full up with the bastards as well. I've already had 30-odd this week so I'm hopeful of that being my lot. In other news, a lad at our place has got to see the gaffer tomorrow about having some deaders left on his fitting. Apparently, his cover man just put a band around them and left them there for him to do. No-one even bothered to tell us deaders had to be done the morning before you went out :no no so what the frak do they expect? Had a chat with the postman who delivers to my house and he shared his infinite wisdom with me. "Managers tell you nothing and only come to see you when they're begging or when you're in trouble." Said lad has both on the same day. He's another newbie - he knows as much as they've told him (nowt). It's about time someone looked at the newbies and the mistakes they make and thought to themselves, hang on a minute - in what ways am I culpable for their errors? Hint: numerous ways. Personally, I did a round and a half today in the time it would take me to do one, so I'm not too bothered. Shouldn't really do overtime what with the ideas it gives them thurr managers, but I need the money when push comes to shove and that's the reality I live in.

edit:

Oh, and some jolly nice chap took five minutes fiddling around whilst shouting at me, telling me he needed to find his keys.

Not too bad today apart from s**t loads of Sainsburys mags. It was our 1st day of getting our mech from the WSM, only received 2 half perstops for my duty, so I reckon they held some back somewhere and tomorrow we are going to hammered. Rain held off.

6 hour delivery due to being thrown onto a huge round that was seriously misprepped, although I only found that out when out on delivery.

Back home for 3:10, left the trolley at the managers house which was on the round.

Didn't have a great day. Did a half where no-one had bothered to kill off their deaders. I'm not even sure they all were deaders, but seeing as someone had bundled them together as dead, I murderated them. It's not my problem if someone else is utterly retarded or criminally lazy was my reasoning - especially as they know the walk whereas I, erm, don't, funnily enough. But hey, let's leave everything to the temp who's also the junior in the office, I'm sure he'll get the hang of it. And if he doesn't, well, it's his head in the noose so who cares?

Ok Wednesday. Thursadya/Friday were much heavier. Add to that a bit of lapsing and you get 2 very tiring days. Saturday was a bit better, and getting out earlier helps.

Saturday, having lapsed Mon-Fri for the last year we have now to lapse on a Saturday. Fulltimers were asked to either come in 30 minutes later or do lapsing obviously they didnt fancy the lapsing so we part-timers do another day of lapsing. The lino says that this will improve chances of a Saturday off somehow (ive no idea how this works as usual) Where was the cwu rep during our meeting? Nowhere to be seen, took the the first lapsed Saturday off too. Nice that some c**t can get a Saturday, Muggins here has had ONE Saturday as a day off this year.

Isnt having p/t deliver for longer periods than f/t de facto discrimination?
