I think my work here is done gentlemen
Do you think that the support Dave Ward and the CWU is somehow an acclamation that Corbyn and his acolytes are on the right track? DW has more or less done a disappearing act since he was elected, the CWU has signed away the rights of the workers in deal after deal and cannot maintain a membership so it's little wonder he wants to climb aboard the Corbyn band wagon to give him some sort of legitimacy. Like most things that DW and the CWU are involved with is political rather than taking care of it's membership.
Yes jet, your work is done, I always thought this thread was populated by one or two needing help in seeing the light, rather than having the light shine between the ears. My advice jet is switch the torch on by your left ear and you'll be able to make shadow figures on the wall if you hold your fingers close to your right ear
You were trying to convince me I was wrong by belittling my and others opinions and by name calling, that never works, it just gets people more entrenched so perhaps in a small and insignificant way, perhaps you are partly to blame for the outcome, if blame should be apportioned.
Thats why I always try to leave the personal stuff out of political discussions because if I show you some respect I am more likely to change your mind. But if I said you were stupid and ignorant you are more likely to ignore even valid points because your opinion of me has been coloured by that lack of respect.

Someone is always to blame and if it is not apparent who it is then you just find a scapegoat and blame him/them/it as the case may be. I presume you mean who is to blame for the labour party being in the state it is, well you don't need a scapegoat it's blatantly obvious.
No the result, of the vote and Corbyn being re-elected. Again, its blatantly obvious why as well, as I outlined in my post. You weren't the only one, Labour Politicians and MPs were also to blame. They denigrated and castigated ordinary members, who they disagreed with, and then seemed rather surprised that they didn't win the ballot. Corbyn's not perfect by any means, no one is, but he showed ordinary members, if not the party and its glitterati, respect and got it back in spades from those who feel alienated or forgotten by the Political class.

You can say that again in spades
They didn't denigrate and castigate me and I'm an ordinary member and despite what you may think everyone outside the left wing pocket fully expected Corbyn to win because of the infiltration of the CLPs. I take comfort in knowing that his day in the sun will be short lived TBT and as the old saying goes " The north wind doth blow and we shall have snow and what will poor Jezza do then"?
How exactly have the CLP's been infiltrated when most new members haven't even been able to attend a local meeting yet, as they were banned until after the leadership election?

Hey wake up! This infiltration isn't an overnight sensation it's been going on for quite some time hence Corbyn being voted in as leader originally. Don't kid yourself, the militants will be ousted again as they have been before, they never last long because they haven't anything realistically tangible to offer
feduppostie wrote:and what if they are not 'militants' but just newly energised members looking to change the way this country is run
Come to think of it they could be an alien force sent to subjugate us with left wing militant tendencies. Have you seen JCs 10 points for the future? I'm thinking of having them engraved in stone and he could walk down some mountain saying that the messiah had given them to him from a silver revolving machine. Then I'm going to buy him 5 loaves and 2 pieces of cod and that'll be the corbynistas fed at the next meeting of the faithful.

The Labour party does not belong to JC.
The Labour party does not belong to momentum.
The Labour party does not belong to its members.
The Labour party belongs to the country.
It's very arrogant to use the party to "change the way the country is run" without a democratic mandate from "the country".

Apparently she looked quite normal prior to meeting Corbyn - one kiss and she turned into a frog.
Corbyn will never have a mandate from the country like all left wing messiahs he will be dumped ignominiously on the scrapheap.
A very telling clip on TV this morning; Corbyn leaving some meeting or conference surrounded by his usual coterie of young women of all colours and styles, and as he presidentially sweeps through the concourse he actually waves to what he appears to think are people waiting to see him, but no-one waves back....they're just people waiting around in groups for whatever reason, and totally ignore the old toss-pot.
He gets worse by the day....

pity I missed that but tell me was he wearing his usual 60s student outfit complete with the beard to make him look like an pseudo intellectual. I mean that in itself is a fraud he doesn't have any qualifications when they say he and Abbott met as students it gives the impression that it was at university rather than the polytechnic that it was and even that he dropped out of.
As for the snub by the crowd, it's exactly what the voters will do in the next election. Corbyn and his acolytes truly believe they have a mandate from the electorate, misguided or what?
Well it doesn't look like the post conference honeymoon is going too well. A cabinet reshuffle that wasn't discussed a chief whip sacked and two other whips resigning. Looks like Jezza's in for a rough ride, hopefully.
What it looks like is that the Labour party is intent on spending the next 10-15 years navel gazing before disappeaing up its own arse while their supporters suffer the consequences of an unopposed Tory government.
