Right so RM saying that this week is the busiest week of the year (Monday apparently the busiest day for people sending mail), and they were already caught out by a 13% increase in traffic last week - SOunds like someone does not learn from past mistakes.
You were right TBT, they didn't learn. Went in as requested 3 quarters of an hour later. Place was full of all kinds of s**t, packets, never seen so many. In tomorrow on my day off at 4 am. IPS for as many hours as they like to pay me and to be honest, they need every man they can get. They even had 2 managers in who were not from our office, doing packets, they are that swamped. They've even been hammered with specials. I just love it when a plan come together.
I hope this is the simple answer to the lightbulb fiasco.,,
Is it because the person who agreed this contract has never handled a single item of mail or been anywhere near a sorting office in December in his or her sad little life?
Wonder how much bonus he or she will pick up for that amazing piece of initiative?

Cold, wet, knackered, you missed a good 'un today, heapsy.
Killer day. Did my ocasional ot today so not cut off but delivery took 4hrs 20 mins first to last letter but had a HCT which used for fuul round so was actually easier than usual.
Life's only rosey if you make it that way...... There is life outside of Royal Mail you know!
Started 5:45am finished 4pm.Offical time's 6:15am - 2:45pm.
My day today 6:20am on the sorting 7:45am 20 mins prep time (4 walk sorted boxes and a row of mail,3 bags of parcels and two piles of flats!),8:05am back on the sorting 9:25am finished sorting.9:25 - 10:45 prep,first letter 11:16am last 4pm!

Thats one long shitty day, my hat goes of to you 4 hours 40m long walk mate. This job is getting to the point were it really isnt worth it if this keeps up. Lifes to short to break your back for these tossers :cfo
Worst day yet this Xmas. Liner "thought it was quieter"
DSA Light bulbs piled up high, liner fantasising they will be delivered by weekend.
And now, snow. I presume RM will think snow will make us go faster? :cfo
Will definitely be working to time tomorrow Liner going to have one big headache to sort out.
