Exams are back along with ad-hoc exam collections. I along with others are refusing ad-hoc POL collections because of REX, how will this work with exams?

Heard today the Parcelforce Operations Manager has left. Pity he didn't take REX with him.

The changes to REX have put more pressure on the drivers. We are more often than not told to take out extra once the route has been optimised. At the same time, parcel volumes in our depot have dropped, therefore most drivers are having to top up from other drivers. As a reserve driver, I cover for drivers who are off and I have found myself scanning a load of parcels into my van only to find that other drivers need to top up and take them back off me to top up their route. Then I've got to find parcels from another area just to top up mine (usually all the bulky items / bulks / rurals or no pre advice that other drivers leave).

I rarely brought back any fails before the changes to the system but now it's a regular occurrence.

The other day it told me to take an extra 17 drops. All were in our industrial estate surrounding the depot. All 17 were at the end off the day with the first hour bracket 1730 to 1830. They were all businesses and closed by then and my knocking off time is 1745. They were taken off me after I had pressed "depart Depot" as they found an agency driver to take them. During my day following REX it had me take lunch just after 1300 then do a drop at 1407 then nothing until 1630. What a wonderful system.

Just started working for PF this week.
I gave done my theory and practical assessments and have been shadowing the current route driver for 2 days.
I have found out more about the job from this forum than my 2 days... haha
Is it still the case that deliveries/collections can be done +/- 1 out of sequence without it affecting your R-Ex score or was that to ease the changes in?
Do failed deliveries at the end of day due to time running out count against your R-Ex score or any other performance indicator for that matter?
In my old job I would stay out until the job was finished even if I was running late but if that means the deliveries would be counted as late and affect my score/bonus then It isn't worth it and I should just bring the stuff back.
Also when a customer isn't home in the morning and you get rid of the job on the scanner as such but then you attempt to deliver again in the evening would that second attempt not mark your delivery as late?
