*Update*After involvement from the area delivery rep the staff went back in with no reduction of wages. Manager moved and full investigation to be carried out why this manager was placed in Blaydon. Full IR review Monday with Opps Manager to resolve issues in Blaydon @CWUnews

I don't see this as a good outcome, the manager is just moved on so he can torture a new office who might not be as strong.

Its like this in my office currently, manager is a complete thug but if you stand up to him your working day becomes much more difficult such as being placed on a duty you hate or put on late collections. wages are suddenly wrong weeks on end, grievances are laughed at and instead of the office standing together , most bow down and lick his arse. If a DOM is found guilty of bullying etc he should be sacked. Sick of hearing about mediation will sort the issues out. About time union called a nationwide vote for strike action.

Mediation is only there to stop people from taking things to a tribunal or county court.
The same as Area reps or Divisional reps.
Even the grievance procedure is a farce designed to allow these feckers to time out your claim.
Ask yourself why do the union hardly ever represent members at tribunals.

If a opg got accused of bullying they would be sent straight home and a investigation carried out, why do they keep the managers still in the same office if accused and then send in mediators doesn't make any sense .
If 70 guys walked out must be serious .

Common sense should be the same rules for both parties

, just look at the amount of offices have walked out since this new agreement so imo action is needed nationally and not talk .

FFS this is an absolute joke of a union leadership to let them fight alone!
We should all be be dragged into the fight and not let them battle alone, Twitter posts do nothing, in fact it's worse than nothing as they are aware of the situation and appear to be doing their usual photo shoots and job done, 3 days strike and nothing said to us if we can have the facts behind the issues and be balloted to support our colleagues.

Local battles are always harder to resolve wirhout involving whole membership. I can remeber clearly when our mc backed local do in 2006 and we were out for 2 weeks did we get a national strike no.. we got plenty of monetary contributions which those of on strike will be ever grateful for.so unless cwu hierachy call for a national ballot which personally i think there is no chance local disputes is the only way to try an do something
