I was Yes but edging into No. Tbh the principle of the agreement seems ok but the details let it down badly.

So in other words they are removing the enhancements from VRs and IHRs so you only receive a bare minimum.. 14 grand for redundancies and less for IHR

Posts: 2712 thanks for explanation so if mechanism takes over , and thousands of bodies are surplass to requirements, how do they plan on getting shut of people if maximum for VR is £14000 ?

It is called compulsory redundancy.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

well this is what some of us are asking, because this is IN the agreement on page 12. have the negotiators AGREED to this? it seems so because they are going to try and sell it to us!! still awaiting clarification from the hierarchy..... cant wait to here this one explained!!

How will the 'vote' be worded? Will it just be to accept/reject the proposals?

If the wording is to accept or reject the agreement (but not mentioning IA) are the ballot percentage thresholds different to what
is required in a vote for IA?

What would the percentages be in terms of eligible voters voting for the result to be valid and of those voting required to accept?

I'm thinking that there will be a lot of apathy in offices now and just want the whole thing to go away :arrrghhh and just won't be
arsed to vote......

I think the vast majority of us really do not want to go on strike but RM are not being 'fair'(I hate that word.)and they have pushed us too far now. So many companies have been exposed in the media and on TV for bad employment practices. I don't wish it on RM but it probably isn't far off if they don't wake up and smell the coffee.

As with other elections and votes in this country and others it could go either way and the turnout could be massive or miniscule. I won't be surprised whatever happens. The likelihood is that posties won't back what they feel about the situation and will vote Yes instead.
