Going overtime and then finishing faster than time cancels overtime pay?

?
And those that finish early but don't work overtime later in the week, how do they 'pay back' the time?
I really don't think this issue is understood.
There is NO banking hours... Full bloody stop.
If you get back to the office before your leave time... What you do is see a Lino or the DOM and ask is there is anything else you can do.
If said Lino/DOM say 'no' ; then you are free to go.
If they say yes (i.e. throw in D2D,s till you time) then you do so.
This is not difficult
The more people that come back early then the knock on effect continues.
pretty much spot on apart from the "free to go home part" if you are sent home by the dom then you must be paid, if you are not sent home and you just leave then it's a grey area, always ensure if finished early that the dom sends you home
Maybe I worded it a bit poorly.
If you get back before due time (early). Then ask DoM / Lino what they would like you to do.
If , they say nothing for you to do ; you can go home.

Hmmmm
So you finish before your time and ask the boss if there is any more work to do to fulfil your hours. That's a good procedure to follow - but does everyone who finishes early do this so they don't lose any overtime? Er no...
......because if they did, no one would bother doing any overtime and whilst we have fewer staff and a USO, it would take a brave DOM to start the slash and burn approach. All that will happen is that staff will refuse to work past their time if they are not getting paid for it, so the manager themselves will have to pick up the loops 7s on frames methinks....
Working the 30 mins flex is entirely 'voluntary' - it's not banking of hours

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
