I'm tending to side with the folks who have unofficially walked out. Reading all the posts on numerous threads, these guys are getting a very rough time. People can only take so much before they snap.

There's no point in arguing why you should or shouldn't wild cat, it 100% proves management level within RM has made this whole situation far worse than it should be.

Don't blame the wildcats on the guys today - it's got nothing to do with RM getting "one over" the CWU, it's about standard way of working, which quite clearly is Hitler-esque in some of the London offices.

Royal Mail come out saying "we find it wholly unacceptable" regarding the wildcats. Have they taken a look at themselves and f***ing well asked why the unofficial action started today?

Yes good luck to Liverpool and Streatham and shame on those bad mouthing them, they did the right thing when our leaders bottled it. The North East Region was supposed to ballot on it and they have not lifted a finger instead they have eaten their words. I wish we had walked out but we are having trouble enough fighting the strike breakers. Good luck to the lads and lasses and i for one hope they spread. If you are still out by the weekend call a meeting to get support from other posties.

What? If anyone queried me going for a piss, they'd be told to f**k off. They'd probably then sack me, but i'd do them for unfair dismissal - and win - that's a fact.

Jeezus, i wish i worked in Streatham. I throughly hate bullies - i'd make sure the management got my point of view instantly. Streatham and other - i wish you all the best in this. Give it to them. as you can see we here in Bournemouth have to start at 06:15 but we have also been told no more job and finnish we work our time and if we are back earley we must go on to the sorting so as of today worked my hours and returned to the office at 13:25 with just enough time to get ready to go home.And this is how it is going to be from now on

I'm in Unite not the CWU so sorry if i'm butting in, but maybe the best thing to do now is to get the CWU to ballot and make the strikes official? and set up a strike fund.

Hardly butting in comrade. This will affect you and everyone else who uses Royal Mail. We've been starting work at 06.30 since last October. People are now out when we start delivering at around 10am, which means they now have to call at the office to collect any packets or mail which needs a signature. The late starts play hell with the life of anyone who have to be there to pick up the kids after school. Personally, I welcome your support and I wish the strikers well. The whole country should be against later starting times.
