so in answer to why you wouldn't change a wheel, you'd reply " I don't because my car has a tin of Tyre-Weld in the boot" seems rather facile.

In answer to your original question of why i wouldn't change a wheel on my own car i would reply that i don't have a spare.
That isn't facile it's factual.

If your asking why i wouldn't change a wheel on a Royal Mail van that's a different question but at the moment and without getting into silly arguments the simple answer is we've been told not to by management.

I haven't seen a definitive list of what constitutes a minor repair but since the vehicles in our office are predominantly leased i would doubt that the lease agreement would allow us to carry out any repairs at all,even if it did removing even the simplest components from new vehicles usually requires manufacturer-specific tools and wouldn't be something i would be comfortable doing given the quality and availability of tools in a D.O.
