The CAT Trainers are anything but waterproof.
Fabric / textile upper therefore not suitable for wear in wet weather.
The grip is also terrible in the rain.

We've had loads of threads on the footwear and the results are as follows...

Fishtank's unofficial footwear review.

Magnum boots/shoes...comfortable and you can wear them straight from the box but s**t quality, last about 3 months before falling apart...dodgy in wet.

Cat Boots....comfortable,reasonably hard wearing but way too heavy...like divers boots.

Cat Trainers...comfortable but not as hard wearing as the boot...s**t in rain/snow.

DM boots/shoes...by far the best quality and most comfortable...once you've spent about a month hobbling about with blisters breaking them in.

And you can't officially order a few pairs at a time but there are ways around that too.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

They're not only allowed, they're part of the uniform.
They are a bitch to break in though so i would give it a miss until you've got past the first couple of months. :nervous

Yes I did get rather excited when I saw them on the link you posted. I think I'll take the chance with the blisters, as a runner I'm used to getting them along with the black toenails ha ha I'll just have to invest in some compeed plasters for a couple of months. :chuckle
