not heard a squeak apart from the odd msg from union rep telling me the matter has been passed to another manager. Its been in the hands of 5 managers now...wonder where the buck finally stops..? is affecting my health now, i'm going fekkin mad, i keep asking and being told nothing. duty of care...hmm...all i wanna do is get back to work...

Yeah mate, I am. Only basic p/t wage though. I always work my days off and more than double my basic rate each week so I am losing money (as well as going mad) just at the right time...I can't afford to live on that wage, never mind the 2 kids birthdays and xmas...
I just want to get back into work...

cant realy see what r.m are doing to be honest. you had a accident that you wernt aware off at the time, you wont be the first and the last to be accused off. as long as nobody got hurt then slap on the wrist and drive bit carefully old chap. realy is a bit odd

Well pierre, mon ami, I notice your first post was a month ago and it seems quite a simple case really, so what is taking so long? I would be in the office toot suite and demand to know what's going on and what is taking so long and also in the union office - it was an accident and you were to blame, you haven't denied it but you weren't aware of it, now if this had been a private incident do you think the insurance company would make a big deal of it or Fedex et al. I don't know if you've considered one of those free visits to a solicitor but it can't hurt any.

I have considered it but thought as it is an internal matter it would be dealt with internally. The longer it drags on the closer I'm getting to giving my brief a call though...
It is a simple case, its just getting someone to make a decision on it...I do not understand why anyone would think I would willfully drive away; I was driving legally, if I had known I would have stopped and followed procedure...simple really innit...

hi to anyone following this thread.
after near 6 weeks suspended i finally had a proper meeting with area manager and union man. both top blokes, listened to what i said and made a decision within a hour.
i start back tomorrow thank fcuk, i'm skint as a well, erm, something skint...i've worked out it has cost me at least 200 quid a week so am well over 1200 quid out of pocket.
need to blast ot now so my kids can actually have more than an empty box for xmas...
all it took was a good area manager...
