Managers Ballot
Have heard that managers will receive their ballot papers today and tomorrow from their union and they recomend strike action, theyd have to strike the same days as us because every worker would cross their picket line, plus every thing would run so smoothly at work if they were out and we were in

be honest adam and all dont care about operational managers anymore thn they do us,if these idiots dont come in with us now most of them will be team leaders on full walks plus what they do now for £30 a week in 4 to 5 years time,the only difference is at the moment managers are needed to give a pretence to the public that rm still operates when we are on strike,managers its now or never you have been warned the future is in your hands as well as ours now,join us or sink with us

I doubt they would vote in favour, too gutless most of them.
But.. If they do vote in favour it would be yet more proof to those two clowns at the top that everyone in the business is fed up with their useless ideas and being pushed around. It might have the benefit of adding more weight to our cause.
And if they did go out on strike on a different day to us then I would happily cross the line.. Laughing all the way..

I agree. I won`t hold my breath but if they did come out on strike that would send an even stronger message to the media i.e. 'even the managers have walked out'. That would empahsise what a s**t deal this really is. Have they ever come out on strike before? Will they really Picket?
I seriously doubt that any of the managers would bother turning up to Picket, even if they did go out on Strike! They would probably treat it as a day off, and go down the Pub, or sit watching Telly.
If they CAN be bothered to Picket on a different day to us, I for one, will turn round and go home. After all, a Picket Line, is a Picket Line. Just because they don't have the moral fibre to refuse to cross ours, does not mean that we should descend to their level.

Managers meeting
Does anyone have any info on the managers meeting today.
All the managers disappeared around 945 today, and apparantely same in other offices in the area.
There are a lot of rumours going around that they were called to an emergency meeting in Edingburgh for Unite re: pensions
Anyone know anything else???

Managers in East Anglia have a choice of 2 meetings to attend in Cambridge today 9ish and 13.00 haven't heard any outcome yet but i know that some refused to go because they are realy hacked off with the buisiness.

If the CMA had supported us I would have supported them but I will go to work when they are out. Besides, I've been told ( someone on here must know for sure ) that if there are no managers on site Royal Mail is legally bound not to open the building, it may depend on the number who work there but I think the H&S rules mean a shutdown.
