more DTD

Post by brian »

Its not only delivering thats a problem its also having the time to put them out on the frames as well all the other bits that are put on the indoor duties.

We often dont receive some until sat morning and we have no chance to get them out when the callers are busy.

then don't put them out until you do get the time . . . and all the deliveries can take longer to prep them, perhaps causing break offs then claim an extra 20% on the payment for each day late they are . . . I bet there will soon be changes made and time allocated then

Bingo!!!
It's about time we started to get rid of the 'I won't have time to do that' shite.
Hey,we get payed for 8 (or whatever shift you're on) hours, then do what you can in them hours.
If you don't get it all done, then hey,s**t happens, let the DUMS sort it out.

If Armani was a walking Postman I could see him doing the following:

Due to start at 6.00 comes in at 4.00 without pay so that he can get his coded bundles in.
Goes to DOM to see if there is any round that needs covering and he'll do it out of the kindness of his heart.
Use car to take him and his mates out to round but also takes all the bags out for them as well.
When he has finished his walk/walks he will go back and throw in next days D2Ds
If he sees any miss sorts/undelivered mail he will report it direct to DOM rather than having a quiet word with the offending postie.

and just to round it off he will go to DOM or Area Manager and state that he needs more D2Ds so RM can have better profit margins, and there is no need to pay him for doing them, in fact he did the 3 this week and won't claim (even though they are all 2p each)

After all we all have to do as much as we can to save the Royal Mail don't we.

That will be the other strike breakers or future managers but I do understand the confusion. Even then they still would not be true mates.

I think he works at my office?

He comes in at midnight on overtime.
He only sorts mailsort because it's good for the business.
He doesn't take a break all night.
He dumps all the remaining mailsort on top of the 1st class on the IPS and shouts THE MAIL SORT HAS TO GO.
When it's time for the IPS sorting he goes off to throw off the drive he is taking out on overtime.
Whilst he is clearing in the drive he winds everyone up about not sorting the mailsort fast enough.
As he is throwing his walk off he notices there is a new starter in the office and asks his friend er sorry the DOM if the new starter needs training.
He takes the new starter out in the van and does the firms duty
He then gives the new starter half the walk to do and pisses off home and claims the docket.
On his way home his friend phones him to say can he deliver another road as the guy has gone home sick and I'll give you 3 hours.
Of course he never refuses because the only thing he knows how to say to the governor is YES.

Apart from doing a walk he sounds exactly like a line manager we got. Can only say yes to people above him and no to eveyone else
