Re: 1000 managers going!
They should let the Workforce vote for which Managers they want out.
Perhaps they should dig out the old Have Your Say sheets and look for clues like....."This man is a useless twat....plumbs new depths of incompetence......couldn't organise the proverbial.....etc...etc
Why not organise a phone vote? They could call it EX Manager Factor!

Re: 1000 managers going!
Line manager must feel he is for the chop since the announcement because he is being extra nice to everyone, trying to be helpful (still failing mind), kissing DOMs ass like mad "yes boss, good idea boss, i will be on that right away" i personally cant wait till he is working as a postie (lets be honest he's not going to get employment elsewhere) and see's what a mess he and other managers have forced us decent hard workers into.

Re: 1000 managers going!
Got me thinking there Happyhippo
Did I read somewhere that they've got to offer these "Failed Managers" a job as a Postie? I know they're meant to keep some vacancies open for any colleagues unlucky enough to be made compulsorily redundant from the Mail Centres, I've got no axe to grind there welcome aboard
However working with "Failed Managers" is certainly not going to promote a very Friendly atmosphere in the office.
On the Up side it'll be amusing to watch these idle buggers having to put some work in, NO YOU CAN'T JUST TAKE 1st CLASS MAIL! You're a proper Postie now.

Re: 1000 managers going!
I dont totally agree with that, the point about managers doing fuckall that is. At my office some managers are so busy doing postmans jobs its unreal!!halfull wrote:i know its bad news today that we are not getting our shares but on the bright side at least 1000 managers are going!!that means 100 managers going in each of the 10 sectors!
im sure your all thinking of the ones that could go in your office now
,i know i am!! so its not all bad atleast 1000 managers will no longer get an obese salary for doing fuckall!

which must suggest there are too many cheifs and not enough indians.
why dont RM redeploy them on delivery and buy down their contacts? there is bound to be over 1,000 posties wanting VR.

Agree with you about too many Chiefs, not enough Indians. BUT hang on a min BT lets offer our PT colleagues a chance to go FT before we throw a lifeline to these workshy buggers!
They've had their chance at an easy job, I object to holding open vacant duties for EX-Managers(?)

They are ignoring MTSF in London apparently...
So...why should MTSF apply here...?
It's a valid question....
