Re: Conduct coded for not doing absorbtion
Well I've brought it back all week and did so again today but nothing has been said yet so far as being conduct coded. It's just the general attitude of the managers atm where they try and bully you into working past you finishing time then threaten you with the conduct code procedure.

Re: Conduct coded for not doing absorbtion
Either you have time within your duty span to lapse or you don't.
If your DOM thinks you have time within your duty then he should be able to clearly explain where.
If he can't, then you haven't.
As for mail volumes having fallen 50%.........I would be very surprised, unless someone is getting very creative with the figures.
Ask to see them.

Re: Conduct coded for not doing absorbtion
I feel sorry for those who have stitched up with some Crappy agreement, we've been lapsing for a couple of years but enough people say NO, although on different days, to keep the DIM "Honest" (probably a bad choice of words). He has to organise, and pay, for PTers to finish it off
Why we keep falling for these Bonus Bullshit deals is beyond me
We've got people pushing to get this cash before Christmas, they can't see further than their next X-Box! Get £1000 now and put up with Christ knows how much crap for the next couple of years. Much better to sort it out properly. Due to Scheduled Collections being cut one lad stand to lose £3000 on that alone

I know its hard but you are still missing the point, these so called "agreements" are not legal and won't stand up in an ET or IT for "unlawful deductions"woofwoof wrote:Caniel wrote:Well I've brought it back all week and did so again today but nothing has been said yet so far as being conduct coded. Bloody hell, you must work at the same office as me.Sherpas Rule wrote:Since our new sorting times came in a couple of weeks ago, effectively leaving us with hardly anyone on the IPS, our lapsing has been stopped. So what have people started doing? Running around like idiots again to get out as early as possible, leaving themselves wide open to start lapsing again. You can't win you really can't.NewPostieUK wrote:In my office, everybody does lapsing every day. If it takes you over, and it usually does, you claim overtime, or cut off. I don't think anyone cuts off, ever.
Manager is happy as the work gets done, but it must be costing a fortune in overtime and fuel costs.
As soon as lapsing was suspended, the flyers were at it again.

Re: Conduct coded for not doing absorbtion
We have to do the absorption before our own delivery in our office. If you cut off, you bring back part f your own walk and not the absorption.

Doesnt really matter whether you bring back your own round or the lapsed, at least you have the courage to cut off and not work for nowt like some. I wonder whether they have worked out whether they are being paid below the minimum wage for the hours they do.

You couldn't make it up. Entire offices working over for free, because they signed an agreement to get a bonus that is non existentLincox wrote:Doesnt really matter whether you bring back your own round or the lapsed, at least you have the courage to cut off and not work for nowt like some. For gods sake if anyone reading this is going over and not getting paid then STOP! If you manager says anything tell him to do what he wants because they haven't got a leg to stand on from a legal point of view.

Re: Conduct coded for not doing absorbtion
Some people are so stupid/naive. The thing is they're so s**t scared of losing their job at present that it's easy for the RM bullies to lie. Frankly, this behaviour is an outrage. No law in the land can allow managers to force you to work more than your agreed hours, whether a piece of paper has been signed or not. It wouldn't happen anywhere else and it's frakking disgusting.OnAFlyer wrote:You couldn't make it up. From what i hear(good source) the rep did sign up to it and then fecked off to be a DOM and tried his luck at another office but they fecked him off.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
