Any new attendance patterns that involve longer daily attendances will bring longer delivery spans and in my opinion this is not a sensible route to explore without new delivery methods.
Remember any attendance patterns brought in now will have to be sustainable through a delivery methods and a WSM revision.
In my opinion you will be risking unnecessary cuts,H&S issues and possibly providing attendance patterns that may have to be removed or revisited at a later date.....but it is just an opinion. :whistle
That was something dingo picked up on.
It seems a non WSM revision will happen asap for the cuts, then a WSM revision again later on for more cuts with all the other bits.
My place is having it all in one hit,i feel sorry for those who have to go through it twice.

What 2010 dosent say is delivery methods revision for £200. It simply says non sequenced mail revision for £200

There is no detail in the agreement as to what a non sequenced mail revision entails.
Why jump the gun? Wait for a planner. Presumably as the Rep you have had the much vaunted training soooooooo in truth you don't need a planner, providing the data inputted is correct the rest is at the push of a button and hey presto the duties are as the geo route states. All that is needed then is the tidying up.
I would have thought in any case that the preference exercise would only be relevant when the delivery method had been decided and the length of delivery had been determined - which is part of the delivery method planning.

Have you got your WSMs then? How many, how many operatives and how long are they running for and how many offices do you sequence for?

Ours are SUPPOSED to be in Feb BUT it seems to be a very flexible timetable. We are currently in the planning stage of the delivery methods revision which at the rate it's going will take until Feb to implement, though they say it will be ready next month ..................... TWT

Mine is not till next year sometime,we're going through the IWT thing at the mo,not sure what will happen after that, don't think we'll have any non WSM revision in between as we've just had one going back to the 4 day week.

It's simple...
If you do the 1st one without the 2nd one you get a pay out then another pay out when the 2nd one is done and later another one when it's all smooth.
If you don't do the 1st one 1st and you do it with the 2nd one at the same time the payout is triggered but its 2 payouts added together and again later on another payout when it's smooth again, which makes a 3rd payout, but it will only be the 2nd payout if you've done the 1st and 2nd together, don't be confused that you are due a 3rd payout if you have the 1st and 2nd payout together.
Also don't get confused that the 1st one and the 2nd one makes a 3rd one,it's still the 1st one and a 2nd one together but not added together for numbers sake to make a 3rd one, there is not a 3rd one and this needs to be realised the 1st time you do the 1st one and the 2nd one together,or if you do the 1st one then the 2nd one later.

Not hard mate is it? :cuppa

1st payment for non walk sequenced revision - what exactly does this entail as we have been led to believe that this is the business plans for local offices, no clarity on this matter.
You would think it was as easy as you tried to explain but everything is down to interputation.
Regional director for RM in N Ireland is apparently telling managers anyone who has not signed up to any business plans which are fictional savings measures has missed out on the 1st payment.

Did you really post that postman? Going back to a 4 day week wasn't a revision - it was a reversion on the back of last Novembers interim agreement - or that was what was said at the time.

I'm not and a lot of the 4 day weekers were not happy as we had to go jump through hoops to get it back.
LOL i guess it was a reversion revision.A lot of the reps wanted us to go back as we were before EA,which we should of but i guess it wasn't to be.Didn't we strike for that? :cuppa
The general thing seems to be we'll EA you,if you want it back here's the hoops, get jumping. :no no Some ofices didn't get it back at all!

Now from what i've heard we will have the full lot next year, there has been no mention of a non WSM revision in betwwen.Watch this space.

Could someone please clarify at what point in the revision process does our choice of attendance pattern come into play. I see a lot of planning going on with no rep involvement ( not a jot of training for our rep ,IWT ,georoute, despite repeated enquiries) and not a mention of us picking our preferred attendance option.
Surely the shape of any duties that emerge from a revision should reflect attendance? Am I missing something ? or is my suspicion, that we will just get duties imposed and be given non of the promised choices , sound more likely?

weve been told all bonuses to be self financed and the first payment of £200 will be based on hitting office saving targets

Communication
Communications should start with informing our members that a revision is going to take place and what kind of revision is it E.G Geo-route, Delivery Methods, Indoor or all of them. We need to remind members that their input into things like mapping verification, and any information for A+ and their ideas for any innovative duty ideas is essential to successful revision for us. Ideally, the Rep and the Dom should look at writing up a schedule that ensures there are open communications on a regular basis of where we are in the revision process.

The start of the process is agreeing the purpose of the revision and highlighting objectives of all parties therefore prior to this it is crucial that there are excellent communication channels with our members. Therefore, before signing up to any agreed objectives it is imperative that we meet with our members and find out what their aspirations are for the revision EG more Saturday’s off, Family friendly duties, earnings, 4-day weeks etc.

It is also of the utmost importance that our Area and Workplace Health and Safety Reps are involved throughout the Process.

This is from the reps guidance to the 6 stage revision process.
There is an Attendance and Duty Structure Survey.
Your hopes, your aspirations are at the heart of the revision process.

The planner is there to "facilitate".
If you all want full-time there will be consequences (like half of you losing your job) and the planner is there to explain the consequences of your choices.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's all there.
Phase 1

Once you have met and discussed the aspirations of our members it is now, you have to look at tying them into the overall objectives of the revision, and this should be done at this stage.
Pre-Phase 1.....no 1 to 1....no likey...no sign off.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
