This indivudual was doing the door to door of most of the office and had a frame in his home authorised by a manager and work was being dropped around his house.
I didn't respond to this on your previous post as I thought it was a wind-up!

A frame at home................aren't D2Ds supposed to prepped in your work time?
D2Ds at home? A big No No in our DO, the DIM has threated anyone with a conduct if you take them home!
dropped off at his house.......WTF?
Authorised by a manager.............hope he has his ass covered, if it went belly up and they were found in a land-fill site.

And what is the Rep doing allowing all this to happen, safeguarding jobs? by letting an individual do this at the expense of other peoples jobs. This type of activity should be brought to higher levels at HQ. or is this colleague not in the union?

That 'opportunity' you speak of hangs on whether you trust Royal Mail to let posties have a share of the extra profit arising from any growth in revenue. If the CWU are as confident as RM that removing the 3-item will result in product growth, is it not an act of reckless incompetence to negotiate a fixed supplement for D2D ??

Keeping the payment-per-item structure would GUARANTEE that growth in D2Ds would automatically flow through to additional earnings - we wouldn't be relying on RM to play fair, or the negotiating 'skills' :left: of the CWU to go back to RM in 3 :evil/mad years time and beg for a better deal !!!!!!!!!!!

What's wrong with asking for that better deal now ? We've been kept waiting for FOUR MONTHS for a deal that stinks :arrrghhh

ive already had a number of people coming up to me asking to resign from the union/cancel there subs if this deal is voted in :cry
and who can blame them................. london amongst others to walk out for 19+days, only for there own union to negotiate a pay cut,
it must be the first industrial dispute in living memory that a union as actually negotiated worst terms of conditions than before the walkouts :d'oh!
the d2d figures you qoute dingo about weekly totals in london is just simply royal mail bollocks and this union has fell for it big time, id love someone to enlighten me what the f@#K is a .1 of a household, you obviously get either 1, 2 or 3 items, so whats an 0.1 :evil/mad
i seriously believe this union is underestimating the number of members who will cancel there subs :wave

I still maintain it's impossible to earn 32k from Door to Doors, never mind 96.

Why would he have a frame at home? Why need a frame at all? You're not saying he was delivering letters as well are you?

well the late staff used to do it in our office, pick say 5 duties with 700 drops and do a fortnights worth of d2d's in one day so 6 lots at 1.67 = 70 a day times 5 = 350 a week just for d2ds

some just did them once a month so 12 lots in 1 day for 1 walk would equal 140 a day or £36500 on top of your wage.

Yes!

They are delivered on a monday, and you have to get them delivered by fri (sat with special permission). Anything not delivered is sent back, and no charge is made.

There are some serious cases of fraud being described here.

I still find it hard to believe that some can do 100% drops of more than two walks in one day. That's 7 hrs plus you own walks prepping, packets etc.

Are these not 3.5 hr walks we are talking about here? To deliver a leaflet (or 6) to every house on one walk walk would take 3.5 hrs. To do five walks, one after the other, with no break, no travel between walks, no prepping, no packets, no pouching off... would take 17.5 hrs. When did they sleep?

Or. . .was someone getting paid 30, 40...90k for dumping what is supposed to be treated as live mail?

This is scandalous.

This whole D2D barons nonsense is a smokescreen to deflect attention away from the real issues.
A poor pay deal coupled to increased workloads and a dangerously worded vague agreement that offers no protection against bullying managers applying their version to create the inevitable savings plans that will come once the dust has settled.

If we are to trust Royal Mail.
And believe me we would be placing all our trust in Royal Mail with this agreement.
How come London's reps do not trust them with the "interim agreement"? :hmmmm

I don't, no. But I'm damned if I'm going to give those useless tossers in Wimbledon around £150 per annum once later Saturdays and the unacceptable increase in D2D shyte is ratified by the seriously hard-up.
I lost over £1100 going on strike in 2009, and it certainly wasn't to keep a union, forever compromising it's members, in the workplace, and certainly not for those worsening terms and conditions of employment.
This, only the latest in a seemingly never-ending long line of shockingly bad deals which have only seen our terms and conditions worsen to such an extent, it's hard to see what, if anything, is left for this Quisling union to tamely hand over to the thugs running RM,it is the last straw for me, and from what I've been hearing from colleagues over the last few days, for them too, and the CWU is going to be on the recieving end of a backlash.
The CWU wants "to be at the heart of change", it stresses it can see "the need for modernisation", seems to me it's forgotten it's first priority, to protect it's members terms & conditions from parasitic, unethical, eternally greedy, bosses whose mindset is firmly in the private sector. :evil/mad
