Superb - whoever thought the timing of this strike up is a genius!!! Imagine Junction 18 of the M1 (NDC) when all those red lorries approach the picket line after 7pm on Thursday evening. Turn back boys and take your mail back! 20 mile tailback on the motorway perhaps. I would love to see it on Google Earth.

That they might do but at the mo no other company can offer a universal delivery to every household, not they want to either otherwise imo, If they did why do they use downstream access, could it be cause it is cheaper than doing it themselves. :cfo :lfo

Thanks to Postcon and the gruesome twosome :lfo :cfo we now have the likes of TNT, DHL kicking up for having to pay about 13, yes 13p for us to deliver their item after downstream access and wanting the cost lowered even further! Anyone with some balls and business brain would tell them we charge 'X' amount, if you don't like it, go invest in the people, equipment, premises, infrastructure etc, and do it yourself, will cost 'em a lot more than that, hang on maybe I should be in charge but I refuse to wear a pink shirt!

That is the problem :cfo :lfo have'nt got the bollox to tell them to naff off. As I have said before, why would they try and compete fully when us ( Royal Mail ) roll over and let them ( TNT Etc ) get away with it.

Its cos the regulator makes the rules innit? They have to be allowed to access our network with their mail, not sure who decides the price tho but im sure hes got a limit on that also :/
