These are the documents you want about cutting off.
Thanks TrueBlueTerrier but it seems from that the docs do not say that you have the right to cut off.

I have informed my manager that there is a £30 additional childcare charge before and had another word with him today basically saying from now on i'm not prepared to work past my time on any day. To his credit, he said that he is fine with that and agrees that no one should work past their time.
I informed him that I don't take my breaks and that I'm prepared to work 20mins over to complete what I take out. He was okay about that.

They did take a 40min bit of the walk off me today which meant that I could finish just over time.

We'll see how next week goes. I'm just a bit worried that I'm making the atmosphere between myself and the management a bit toxic so early on as I've only been with the Royal Mail just over 2 months.

I do appreciated the advise that members of the forum have given me. Thanks.

2/Do you have the proper business on behalf of your employer, insurance cover for your vehicle and has your manager asked for copies of your insurance, mot, driving license etc, and confirmed to you in writing that you are covered to carry Royal Mail property in your vehicle under their insurance. If not you are leaving yourself open to prosecution, impoundment of your vehicle, and guess who will not support you in any way ?
Yep. I've got the required insurance and have shown them all relevant documents (insurance, MOT, drivers license)... I just hope that I don't have an accident and have to put it to the test.

I've been left hanging round for up to an hour waiting for a lift back to the office, and often told by the PHG that the manager and conveyance driver have fecked off home and there is just no one there to pick me up.
book it all as O/T then , they'll soon come and collect you if they know it's going to bite into his O/T budget
I do book OT if im left waiting, im just saying that it can be very frustrating if you have to be somewhere.

I have a van which only does 11 miles a day, its classed as a rural but the delivery is urban. My delivery span averages five hours a day. Yesterday after three hours sliding on black ice I returned to the office and told them I was too scared to complete my delivery. Now awaiting wilful delay interview. If I complain about the proportion of delivery in my full time day I get told they will reduce the hours to 30 if I want less work, but the delivery would be the same, someone else would prep it and bring it out for me to deliver onfoot . We have 8 union members in an office with 30+ staff. No officaial union rep, last office spokesperson gave up due to lack of interest in rest of oppressed workforce(Yep that was me!) Now tired depressed and worried about my job. Don't want to go off with stress, don't want to lose my job, love being a postie and part of this community but totally demoralized- any suggestions? ( And no I can't shoot the manager, though the dartboard has been taking a bashing where his picture is!)
Learn the rules inside out, when you've got the form down pat ,quote it chapter and verse and watch your manager go white and panic . These bods are chancers who just don't do their homework, lazy and inefficient
as well
