Not sure how your drivers ar getting away with this as they have to be scanned (PDA)whether they were delivered or not.
Sometimes though you get small ones that can go through the letter box, every now and then i will scan it and give it to my walker.

I'm guessing your office must be failing with tracked big time.
What happens is, whilst still in the DO he scans the item, then slings it onto your pile of parcels for you to deliver (or not, as the case may be). Is that supposed to be how it works? :hmmmm BTW, we are in a subs office so no manager gets to see what he's doing.
Also, I remember when they first started on with these and we got told that they absolutley, categorically, MUST be delivered on the first attempt as otherwise we were contractually obliged to re-deliver the item the following day before 7AM.
All tracked items are received in the DO and scanned as Ready for Delivery on the DO Indoor setting on the Locker PDA - it should then be scanned on Delivery on the PDA out on that walk - some items require a signature so how does he get round that issue?
I've really got no idea to be honest. But then we are talking about someone who had a tantrum because he had too many parcels (it being Christmas and all) so the line manager told him to give what he didn't want to take (regardless of size) to us footmen. When we complained we were told to just do another bag up if we had to. My top total was 10 bags last week, and ended up booking nearly 10 hrs OT as a result. Still, at least the van driver isn't too overworked now.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
