I do feel for you having been attacted by a Cat and dogs before my self, the sorest was a Cat.a little story,on 1 round this cat would lay in wait for the postman,it attacted a few Postman,
we soon learnt about it and if we saw it nearby ,through a stone at it.Anyway the Cat died and the owner was telling 1 postie how his poor Cat had died and was so upset ,the Postie had a real hard job not to smile and laugh.
On a lot more serious note,on my round A new family have moved into this typical council estate type house and have this Crazy savage dog,not a PITBULL but something
along those lines ,looked the breed up on the internet,a hunting type dog,not for a family pet only to be owned by very expirenced dog handlers.
Now this dog has NOT bitten anyone Yet!! BUT IF IT EVER GOT OUT it would not bite you ,it would rip you to shreds.Repoted it to manager who was really good, went out to see the Dog agreed with me about the dog AND NOW DO NOT DELIVER THEIR.
i feel sorry for the Neighbours with young kiddies,if this dog did get a kid it would kill them.Should be a law against all such dogs and before they attack someone.

Uh we have a conscience and know right from wrong. Cats act purely on instinct.calpsy wrote:BELIAL wrote:It's a f***ing cat ,it bears no personal malice ,your finger is a fluffy toy .It's a f***ing cat .do battle if you must ,but it can't fight nature
OOOOOOOO .... touched a nerve have we ????
So its ok for IT to hurt us but if WE hurt it then its not ???
Get a grip .
I think perhaps you are giving Cats far to much credit in intelligence and awareness of consequences. BTW in my opinion YES its wrong for US to cause harm to any animal as the result of a deliberate action other than for the purpose of consumption and even then it must be as humane and painless as possible.
Bet that last line starts a new track in this thread.

I don't think we should deliberately hurt any animal
Now I'm off for a sausage, bacon and egg soda followed by some freshly pressed lambs blood

I believe you've got to watch for Feral Cats , they are known for Lice and a cat version of aids as apparently it spreads amongst these colonies they live in .Aprilaydee wrote:There is a risk of Hepatitis C being contracted thru cat bites. I get bitten and scratched by my own cats all the time but luckily, they've not got the inclination to get off their arses when the postman arrives. Only the dog is bothered!
I used to have one cat on my old round that used to scratch thru the low letterbox so I got quite good at opening the letterbox with the toe of my boot, let the cat get bored with that for a second or two, then put the mail on the edge of the letterbox and push it thru with my foot. Had to do the same with the house next door cos they had a little Jack Russell whose mouth fitted thru the gap. He used to get the letterbox put down on his nose.
Apparently it depends on the cat's age with bites and scratches , any germs are carried in the cat's saliva .
They showed this programme of cats living amongst the ruins in Rome . You'd see the " boss " tom cat with one ear hanging off due to all the fights , what was interesting was the speed that the mother cat had all the feathers off a pigeon it had caught for it's kittens .
A mate of mine & his missus keep a old farm cat .
I've had to put Jeyes Fluid ( which they don't like ) down when a undoctored tom cat had left it's stinking " calling card " . I've been told it was bad when a cat had been in the coal shed for a s**t and somebody had lit the coal fire .

What about MANAGERS

To be fair most cats if they were x10 larger would tear your head off so I don't think the cat thought the postie was a toy. I would also say most cats accept their position in the 'human' pack, but are always plotting to become number one ;)
Bloody vicious as well some of them.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

they actually think they are better - Dogs have masters , cats have staff , staff that are daft enough to provide a 5 * hotel for them & room service . The "presents" that you are given are a reminder what it would do if it was 10 X bigger .IPS wrote:

It's a schizophrenic animal , it knows how to act kittenish to reside with people , as soon as it's in the garden it reverts back to instinct .

Does that look cute and kittenish?! lol
She's only play fighting. Never breaks the skin. Just ignore the scratches on my other hand- one is from when she thought I was playing when I wasn't and I wasn't quick enough, and the other is from when she was trying to jump as I was trying to stop her.
The other two don't play fight with me, they don't like it rough
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

that cat is just practicing for the encounters that it will have . This is the Pikey / Chav Cat from next door that chases everything away off what it thinks is it's territory . The first day there was a bare patch above it's nose when it got a taste of it's own medicine . The next day there was a bigger patch of fur missing .BELIAL wrote:It's Lilly, but torties ,what do you expect
Must take after it's owner
There's nothing wrong with it's left eye . The fill in flash had been left on in the camera's menu .
It used to be startled by the camera shutter , don't think they've done digital imaging yet in the Prison Education & Training wing or any digital
