There's no hardship in processing a standard basic weekly or monthly pay, it's the variables like O/T etc which cause the clerical staff grief, and so that's the part which the pay group would like more time to do.

There is a big difference between processing weekly and monthly, you have to process pay 4 (or 5) times as much a month. Variable pay doesn't make as much difference because you'd still be completing the same amount of dockets etc. RM have tried to outsource payroll but no-one will touch it because it is weekly.
