Iam only staying for now because I have a legacy contract and coaching allowance and even then I may still leave if I got a Monday to Friday as family time is more important to me
Whats coaching now £45 a week ? Waste of money
It's madness. £45 a week even when you aren't coaching anyone. I thought Royal Mail liked saving money. People would coach for free as you get to go out and share 1 round between 2 of you - even if the new person is slow you will easily finish in time. You could finish early and head down the pub and train them there.

What do coaching costs amount to across the whole nation year in year out?...take it away from them and add it on to our hourly wage. Might add up to an extra £0.04 an hour, and an extra £63 a year. Better than a kick in the back.

The WPC payments came into force a while back to keep the DO union reps happy. Extra pay before the inevitable manager positions offered or leave the (corrupt AF) delivery side of the business.
