Maj,these terms hark back to the last strike,PMC was set up around the time of the industrial action, and then shut
down when it was over, then it resurfaced when this site was hacked! :hmmmm
i respect the opinions of both sites and it's good to have a balanced point of view, but don't expect to find Tommo over
there!!
PMC is like listening to Sarah Kennedy(Radio2 at six in the morning)she starts off all serious, but ends up talking
about what her cats did last night!
Postman Fluffy I've heard but not likened to Sarah Kennedy or Buntie as her radio 2 fans call her :chuckle :chuckle - not noticed any jam making or knitting threads yet , I'm sure Postman Fluffy or Postman Buntie will put a starter up soon :chuckle

To be fair Postman Buntie has got a lot more cynical & jaundiced about RM ( I told you so :chuckle ) but they are scared of RM , it turned into Courier on line last year after it allegedly got hacked , however I wouldn't trust them , there's the interchange of user names , identity and Hellmail being a junior member - it can / could resort to type despite the one of the boys stuff :hmmmm , they tend to trip themselves up :hmmmm :hmmmm

Funniest bit was Postman asking if anyone could put something they'd put up - nobody could - it was " Are you all f**king banned ? " :chuckle :chuckle

Dark Side came from a smear article on Hellmail about RMC - all this stuff about a Skinheads Reunion forum , bigotry , homophobic , hatred , defamatory , sack the lot of them for posting etc - the basis for the article was vague and obscure , coincidentally just like how RM operate as everything is to a foregone conclusion anyway

I am a Manager and read both sites, purely to get a view of the moods. I have no serious views of either management or CWU. I believe both sides should work together as they do in my office. I have concerns about the future, my own and the business, and I disagree with some aspects from CWU, RM, Postcomm. I support business policy because I get paid to but it does not mean I am blinkered.

I do have empathy for my staff who I believe do a far harder job than I used to when I delivered mail many years ago but I also believe if don't modernise we will go under, we may go under anyway!

I like Postmanchat because you don't tend to get all the abusive nasty references to DOM's but they certainly tell it how it is, just without the abuse.

1st of all hello and a belated welcome.
tbf rightly or wrongly we tell it how it is,we would, well most of us would like you to do the same.
You may of or may not of noticed we have been stricter on here lately and there has been some RULE changes.

We,including me will always slag of the bad DOM's we also slag off the bad posties as well.
If you're honest whether we like it or not it's what we want,if we're wrong tell us,but if we're right, tell us as well.

I would also remind everyone of the RULES f they ever respond to redman's or anybody elses posts.

Personally i would like you and others like you to be more active in the forums. And i know others feel the same as well.

This is Royal Mail Chat, not postie only chat.

PS:Some of your lot are right................

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Thanks for the welcome, I agree there are bad managers as well as bad postman. Managers are under extreme pressure to implimant policy but that doesn't excuse some of their behaviour at times. Just as deliberately failing to do the job correctly is inexcusable.

I think with DOM's being called DIM's & DUM's on here it's because they are supposed to be :lfo "s mouthpieces and they represent the system which in some cases they may have good reason to hate - then there's the horror stories about bad managers which stirs things up ( sometimes things don't need stirring up ) and the abuse spreads .

Bent bad postmen are absolutely castigated on here too . Fozzie Bear's & ex RM manager's posts are very enlightening .

It's not just the CWU V RM , Unite are scathing about RM's senior management - calling them arrogant , taking RM backwards with all the regimentation to the PO Manual days , lacking vision and imagination ;a only we know best attitude , can't go any further , the long hours , H&B cases with all the pressure from on high - there is certainly a long line of cause and effect all the way down the RM food chain .

do i trust royal fail ...i guess not :shhhhh
they'd deny it but there was a backslapping article from the " I posted a letter once so I know what I'm talking about " site about Postman Fluffy serving it's purpose and securing a yes vote - there's also a work from home contributer that just happens to know a lot of DUM's and is up to speed on controversial disciplinary cases ( Do RM have any other sort ? ) - I'm sure it's because they are all invited to dinner parties and there is nothing untowards . :chuckle
