There aren't many from the MCs who could hack it in a DO - last time I was in an MC I was offered mobile phones, car insurance de blah de blah there seemed to be more people doing nothing than doing something yet when change is required you don't have to be a genius to see where it comes from.

It would depend on your age and length of service.
Voluntary Redundancy: If you are under 50 or over 60 you get a minimum of 26 weeks pay if you have been employed for over 2 years. After 8 years service you get 3 weeks pay for each additional year of service. After 10 years service you get 4 weeks pay for every additional year of service. And you get an additional 2 weeks pay for
every year over the age of 40. The maximum payable is 104 weeks pay.
Early Voluntary Retirement (supposedly payable between 50-60): the amount payable would depend on whether you are a Class A or Class B scheme member, and your length of service and pensionable pay, enhanced by up to 6.66 years. I think you also get an EVR payment of 26 weeks pay.

our local mailcentre has all mon-fri duties so if a MC worker has a full week off sick it is classed as 5 days, whereas in a Delivery office because the day off maybe in the middle of the working week it is classed as a sick day hence a full week off sick is classed as 6days.
is this fair?

A full week is actually classed as 7 days because they count Sundays plus any bank/public holidays.
