mailsort, in our office it is like this- we have been told not to take mailsort out as this is the way we get a early finish on saturday [ye right]
some of them put it in the frame but only take the mailsort for a house if they have 1st or 2nd class etc to go to that house, others don't bother to put it in the frame and leave it in a box on the frame for monday

if you see a M on it leave it till monday

cheers Rhino, all very bewildering and confusing to us newbies. The training on such matters is non existent. I just assumed the office would be open til a reasonable time on a Saturday.

First thing I was taught was never to assume anything when its to do with Royal Mail. You will end up being wrong :(

We have got a temp dom in our office, I have asked him the same question and all he said was something got to be look at. He did asked me what I did with the parcels, I told the truth I delivered them, altho I did have to get a neighbour to phone the customer so they can come home and I can give them their parcel. waited 30mins after my duty finished for them to come and I can give them their parcel, got a bottle of wine for it, so its a good job I am a nice person. I did stressed that I WILL not deliver it to a neighbour / doorstep / take mail home, as I am not being shafted for allen leighton not doing his job.
Unless something is done for the better i can not see RM lasting much longer. It is only business sense that we are given the correct tools and the corect time to do our job as it should be correctly

Disclaimer
Any manager looking to score points by trying get me in trouble for saying my piece about how useless you lot are and what a waste of space leighton is, then please try it. I would love to be given the oppuntunity to take RM for discrimination
