SICK PAY - Another huge no-no. If you feel ill and are compelled to come to work and spread it about? FFS! Suffer a half-week pay loss if you are ill? BIG MIDDLE FINGER!
REDUCED REDUNDANCY RIGHTS - Sounds like they know something you don't, trimming the fat before the axe falls. All those years' service, only to be shafted at the end? NO!
STARTER PAY - Already have an appalling record of screwing starters both with stress, bad training and lower pay rates plus inadequate contract hours compared to what they actually work, which means sub-standard holiday and rota week pay Now you want to make this worse? GO AWAY!
This reads like a litany of p!ss-taking and people are right - 95% of this is asking for people to sign their own death warrants, how can they expect 120,000 people to vote for their own reductions in benefits? If the Union accepts most of this then they want tying to the stake.
Remember this isn't a company in trouble asking a favour along the lines of reduced pay temporarily to prevent redundancies as a short term fix! This is a very profitable company asking workers to sacrifice rights unnecessarily, for no other reason than to claim subsequently "We're 1.98% more efficient than 3 years ago..." or some other boardroom soundbite crap to please the major shareholders.
I cannot see anything other than a strike looming with these propositions.

We are having a mini revision right now and very similar proposals to these have been put forward.
Same at ours,add 20mins to Wednesday,10mins to Thursday (at least I think that was it...may be 30mins,I lose track) and cut time off Tuesday and Saturday (All changes are at the END of our duties)

I really don't think a full office revision would be a bad idea in our office. We have staff coming in early, getting back early, going home early and then they wonder why their walks are a target for having work added to them. Meanwhile there's staff who come in on time, do the job to the letter, take their break and finish at their time are potentially looking at having their workload REDUCED because they're frequently leaving packets in even on supposed "light" days.
